Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Bucktails! Spro is a great brand of Bucktails. I have used many different brands in the past but none seem to stand up to the durability and realistic looking style of the SPRO. Dick's has a very large range of weights, colors and styles in stock which is great to sift through and find the right one I need. The downside to the SPRO's is the price. They are the most expensive Bucktails I've seen. You can get a 2 pack of others for less than 1 SPRO.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Top of the line bucktail Why "top of the line"? Easy, best quality hooks, painted finish that doesn't chip off quickly or easily, and bucktails that will last and not fall out after a few weekends.Sure you can buy a cheaper bucktail. But even those are not that much of a savings. I only use bucktails for fluke, and when I'm fishing fixed hook bucktails, I only use Spros now. The hooks are MUCH better. That may be the main reason. The only non-positive thing I have to say; as you move into the heavier sizes, such as 1oz or 2oz, the hooks become very big. Not so much of a drawback for other fish, but for fluke fishing, I wish I could pick the same size hook for those sizes as I find on the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4oz Spros.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok lure This lure is ok for the price. The hook is very sharp and the colors are nice but the eyes and the some of the paint came off on the first hour of use. I wouldn't care if the lure cost $2 but this was a $6 lure it's ok in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Fluke These Spro and to some extent the trokar 1/2 to 1oz buck tails are the ticket when fluke fishing. Tip it's with a white or yellow 3-4" gulp alive swimming minnow and you can't miss. This will beat bait 10:1 every time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Spro should sell their jigs with the following disclaimer..."Do not use in the surf.". I know, I know, why would you fish this lure from the surf to begin with. Well, the answer is simple; that's one my daughter chose to use from our gear bag. What a disappointment! She made maybe 10 casts with it and most of the paint came off the jighead. This is a fragile lure that does not stand up to the wear and tear of saltwater fishing.
