Rated 2 out of 5 by from St Croix jigging rod Received rod in very oversize box. Using rod found 1 eyelet defected . Eyelet cutting line while jigging. For a high end rod St Croix blew this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced and Defective I bought the 6'6" jig n rig rod and was very dissapointed. I put my reel on the handle and tightened down the handle lock nut. Unfortunately the lock nut jumps the threads when tightened snugly and starts back to the beginning. Therefore normal handling of the rod will eventually loosen the nut in either direction and the reel will fall off. I couldn't believe that St Croix put this on the market at the price they charge. I returned it and and bought a house GM Walleye rod for $50 that is way better period. The rod is defective in it's design especially for the high price point. I would go with the GM Angler Series Walleye Rod or the Fenwick Elite Tech Walleye Rod if you can swing $150. Dick's was great in returning this disastrous piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from St. Croix Eyecon I purchased the riggin type rod which is specific for live bait rigging. Purchased online and it arrived within 3 days. Registered and put it to use immediately. The absolute best technique specific walleye rod in the price range. The sensitive tip provides great feel for soft walleye bites but also has plenty of backbone to handle the biggest of walleyes. I've also hauled in Northern Pike from 20 in. to 40in. and the rod does a great job. If need be I wouldn't hesitate on buying another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pole ive ever owned They say its a walleye pole but I use it strictly for bass. This pole is awesome for soft plastics. The accuracy with this pole is amazing. I literally could hit a dime from 50ft. Distance, sensitivity and action are all great. I have the 6'3" medium. This is a rare size and for me its perfect. Ive owned it for about a month and used it a bout 10 times. Only time will tell how durable it is. I bought a piece of pvc to transport it in the back of the truck. The only thing that irritated me a about the purchase is that I was in Dicks 2 or 3 times before I had them order the pole. Each time they told me that shipping would be free because its an in store order. Turns out shipping was not free and that was the main reason I drove there to get it. dicks should carry a better selection of poles in store. The only two st croixs they carry are the triumph and mojo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great balance ant feel. I use this rod for crappie and bream. It has great balance and you can feel every bite. I usually feel the fish before the float dissapears. Have hooked some small bass as well and this rod has the backbone to handle them as well. Great product!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Light, Excellent action If you like to feel the bite, this is the rod. I prefer a shorter rod and while the ultralight is too light, this rod is awesome. Not to mention a 28" walleye the first time out.
