Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rod Before I got this I was fishing with an all glass bass rod for trout. I added this as my dedicated trout rod and couldn't be happier. It has made this difference in catching some fish. Handle quite nicely too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice rod I bought this rod after having bought the panfish series which is also a great rod. I am really happy with this rod it is very sensitive and casting is very easy. I bought a gloomis trout rod which surprisingly wasn't as easy to cast as this st croix. Overall great rod!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great new rod series Its been awhile ,since I purchased a new fishing rod. This rod was worth the wait.Shipping was excellent. Ordered on Monday - it shipped on tuesday and arrived onFriday afternoon.Getting back to the rod -great sensitivity(fast tip) and the 5'4" lengthgives extra casting ability and strength. Used it for 1st.time 2 days later and wasable to limit out on trout within an hour. The hookups were pretty instantanous- verygood sensitive pickup. All together ,the 1st.day hooked and released 11-15 fish. Therod is so light, could probably fish with it all day. This is my 2nd.St.Croix and neitherone disapoints in any way .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from incredible piece of equipment Don't leave this rod home ANY time you go to your favorite trout stream, creek, or pond! This incredibly sensitive ultra light is an absolute pleasure on the water. Easy and accurate casting, short and longer distances, amazingly light and well balanced. Two piece construction is exceptional for travel .. and strength is NOT compromised.By far, my favorite ultra light!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again purchased the 6ft ultra light, had a light weight reel, 2ib line, and 1/32 oz jig, first time out with it and it broke casting. never even got to catch a fish on it. not worth the money im taking it back to day, thing was obviously flawed.
