Rated 4 out of 5 by Gunsafe from Fair for the price I was about to give this item three stars, but had to consider the low price. This isn't a super fancy safe. It's not fireproof and is fairly lightweight. If somebody really wanted to take the time to break into it, they probably could- but this will keep it out of curious hands and petty thieves. I would say this comfortably holds 6-8 long guns- not 10. Also I noticed some of the full size barrels don't fit under the shelf. You might need to keep the optional shelf out or store the longer guns towards the front of the safe so the barrels fit. I used to have riles scattered from room to room, so this is a nice storage cabinet for me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Funston from Works as advertised Good value at dicks as long as you know up front it is a minimum security cabinet, NOT a safe. Don’t think it will hold 10 rifles unless you jam them in. I have six scoped rifles in and it is a close fit. Also, the foam barrel rests are useless because foam not the rigid type. Instead I simply lined three sides with some spare foam pieces about midway up plus the foam bottom, and that seems to work ok since rifles stand up by themselves. Didn’t bother with the shelf figuring it would be too awkward moving the rifles in and out. Noted the review about the jammed lock so kept the receipt in safe place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CJ96 from Good Beginners Safe I bought this safe over a month ago since I needed a lockable safe instead of just keeping my guns in locked gun cases. It's low priced and good for a beginner safe if you have some ammo and a few long guns. it does fit 10 guns but keep in mind it will be VERY compact for 10 guns. It will fit 2 on each side and the other 6 against the back wall. Keep in mind it is technically not a "safe" it is a gun cabinet so the metal isn't as thick or strong as a cabinet, but meant to keep your guns out of reach of children or anyone not allowed to get access. The average criminal probably couldn't break into it unless they had some serious powertool's or a lock picking kit. Still, a great first gun cabinet!

Using Track Rails and Clips from Home Depot and Cutting the shelves. I used 12"x48" Shelves that were already factory made in the shelve department and just cut the ends to fit inside It was a all day Project But it came out Nice Maybe a Cabinet that Stack On should think about manufacturing?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike from Great product This is a great product. I got this one because it's not bolted together. For the money it's a great product. The only down side is that there are 2 good size holes at the bottom and the seams aren't 100% sealed. But I just cut a piece of thin plywood to cover the holes on the bottom and siliconed the seams and sprayed the inside seems with a rubberized sealant and added some weather stripping to the door to stop any moisture from getting in. I live in Huntington Beach CA so there's a lot of salt in the air. I didn't want my dehumidifier working over time so I made sure it was sealed up. Other than that it's a great product and great to keep my firearms out of reach from children. If they seal everything up I would give it 5.

I have owned two 10 gun Stack-ON Compact Steel Security Cabinets for several years and I am looking to buy another as I write.Both of my cabinets are set in closets in my home as they take up little space (I still have room in each average closet for hunting clothing etc. ) and are very secure with their keyed locking system . One holds 10 guns and my varied knife collection and the other holds primarily ammunition (much) as well as home valuables.As well as being a very satisfied customer I am also the Banquet Chair for our local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation annual banquet. There is always a Stack-On Steel Security Cabinet as a prize there. Never had a complaint about this either!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Uhmerican_dude from Disappointed I bought this in store. No sale or anything. I was very careful transporting it and when I opened it there was a huge dent on the top corner. I am very disappointed. I am positive I did not cause this dent. There is styrofoam on both top and bottom of the box to prevent this but it still ended up dented. Even after I took extra precaution. I am disappointed.....
