Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stamina 1205 Rowing Machine I know how to row a boat and paddle a canoe, so I can do this too. It is a well-made exercise machine that can be stashed out of the way, next to a bookcase, under a bed, wherever makes it most convenient. It took me an hour to assemble using three wrenches and a screwdriver. The electronic monitor use is unclear but I hope to figure it out for my wife. The use of this machine is comprehensive enough to make this a beneficial daily routine for a couple older Americans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT WORKOUT I really am enjoying my stamina 1205 precision rower. I always get a great workout when I use it. It was very easy to put together and it is very easy to use. The operation of the rowing arms are very smooth and the seat easily slides back and forth. The only complaint that I have is that the seat is hard and not wide enough and becomes uncomfortable for my tush. The other complaint is about the foot holders, they are kind of cheesy and as you work out the velcro on the straps do not hold your feet inside as tightly as they should. For the most part, I enjoy using my precision rower and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Heck Of A Machine!!! I received the 1205 about 3 weeks ago and row 1 hour a day everyday. So far I've lost 10 pounds, 21/2 inch's off my fat gut and 1 inch off my waist. The machine takes up very little room and stays in adjustment as long as you check the adjusters before each workout. My only gripe is the electrical jack that can be snapped off when standing the machine on end for storage. If that was changed it would be a 10 of 10. It inexpensive, will make you sweat and keeps track of time, calories, miles rowed etc. It works for me and that is all I really wanted. Got to go row, goodbye. C

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific machine Bought this model rowing machine six years ago. Used it daily for 15 minutes and ended up with linebacker-like shoulders. Went from a 40 regular suit size to 46 long. Both handle grips eventually wore out. Finally had to give it away due to a herniated disc in my lower back on doctor's orders. But for those six years it gave me a reliable daily workout.

I feel like I get a better workout with this rower. It gets used daily by this household. So far so good :) Shipping was perfect too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice piece of equipment This is a very well-built machine, and has held up nicely to daily use. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, however, I feel a comment should be added indicating to not over tighten the bolts connecting the shocks to the mounting brackets. During assembly, the paint on the bracket areas underneath the bolting cracked and fell off. This is purely cosmetic, but it takes away from the clean look of the rower. Perhaps larger washers should also be used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rower for the price I compared three rowers ranging $200-400 before deciding to buy the 1205 because it appeared to be higher quality than others in that price range. This rower feels sturdy and smooth. It is compact and quiet. Even the lowest tension setting provides a good workout, especially back/arms. Hard Core rowers may want to step up to more expensive, fancy, hightech models, but the 1205 serves my workout purposes exactly as I hoped it would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and designed, a great no-frills rower. This is my second Stamina 1205. I row an hour every day and after many years, I literally wore out my first one. This unit has a fairly small footprint when you lean it against a wall. I put white crew socks on the black rubber base ends so it leaves no mark on the wall. The electronics are fairly straight forward for those who like to use same. I simply time myself. The seat rolls easily on the track. The tension is adjustable on the rowing bars. I keep mine in the bedroom close to the TV. If I am watching something interesting, I can row for an hour or so. I concentrate bending my old knees to increase flexibility / range of motion. I like the oars of this style better than those higher priced models with a T bar handle that is centered and you just pull it. This is more like real rowing. Not expensive, tough, portable, small footprint, quiet, and provides a great workout.
