Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I would recommend this product if you want to use it for cardio as a beginner. I was not into fitness before I purchased this. I have lost 30 pounds since buying and using it for 30 minutes a day 5 days a week and following a better diet. I have lower my A1C by more than 2 points also. Worked really well for what I needed for 6 months then the seat broke. It sounded like a simply fix but getting the company to cover the part was a bit tricky. Had I contacted the company first rather than where I purchased it then I may not have had the problems I ran into. Once Stamina started with the problem it seems to have been taken care of. We will see. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Rower I received the rower about 4 weeks ago and have temporarily stopped using it. I love the rower, but I have developed lower back pain from using it. So, I am resting my back for a week or so until the pain subsides. It is very important that you research the proper way to row prior to using this machine. Apparently, I was not. Also, do not overdo it. Start off very slow, like maybe 5 minutes a day and slowly build that up. Hopefully, I will be able to get back on the rower since it works so many muscles. It seems like a good machine and hopefully it is durable. Only time will tell. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great over all workout first, my husband had no trouble assembling it. I have used it twice since it arrived. It is a wonderful overall workout. I wanted to work on my abs and waistline and I can feel it work the targeted areas. combined with my exercycle and treadmill I can now get a total workout in the privacy of my own home. I love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional, but needs improvment. The seat could use a little more padding. The wheels click and clack. I'd think a smooth wheel would fix that problem. But it does work well, did 3 - 30 minutes sessions last week and lost 3 lbs. Obviously I'm trying to eat right, but that surprised me. Starting my 3rd week with it and like using it. The rubber spacers shred, so I'd recomment some 5/8" washers to put between them and the footholds. A $5 fix that has improved my use of the machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good overall, but not height adjustable! Overall, this is a great machine for the price. However, there is no allowance for height variations. As a shorter person (5'3), I cannot put my feet on the foot rests - I have to put them flat on the floor in front so that the base pivot of the "oars" are level with my hips and not behind me. If I try to push back where I should be, with the pivot slightly in front of me, then the seat hits the rear stopper. So, while overall a decent machine, I would not recommend this style for shorter persons. In future, I would buy the pull cord type if the foot rests don't adjust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, Low Cost Alternative I needed to add something new to my exercise regimen and decided to go with rowing. Many of the top-rated machines are expensive and all are space hogs. Needing the compact footprint of some of the Stamina machines I chose the 1215. In the past month it has become a welcome addition. It was easy enough to assemble; took me about 90 minutes. My sole criticism is that the meter does not track Strokes Per Minute. After I started rowing I found that most rowing exercises are based on tracking SPMs. I could do without info like total strokes or miles rowed in exchange for that. The next model up will track that, but I didn't know enough to look for it when I bought the 1215. -- That being said, the equipment has thus far been a good investment of a reasonable amount of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Workout As long as you don't try to rush through it, assembly was simple. The workout is all encompassing as far as your muscle groups go. Also, of course, a great cardio workout! Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with my purchase I bought this rower because I have an ankle injury and was looking for non weight-bearing exercise, that I could do without the hassle of driving to a gym. This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price. I use it for 30 minutes almost every day. Maybe when I become super fit thanks to it, I will move to a more sophisticated product with programs and fancy features, bit for now this is exactly what I need. Another pro is that I can fold it and put it in a cabinet. It is not small but it fits. It will also fit under most beds. I am a happy rower.
