Heavy Equipment

This was a nice heavy and compact piece, however have to return. It is incredibly difficult to push down the pedals, even on lightest resistance I could not get a momentum going. For lighter weight people this is unusable.

Open Box Space Mate Folding Stepper

Stamina® SpaceMate® Folding Stepper First off this was an Open Box. It needed a little TLC, it was missing a screw, I had a replacement. The pin that is holding it in place until you fold up is sticky and a little out of alignment. I don’t fold it up so not an issue. This Stepper is heavy duty and gives this Buffed 63 yr. old a Magnificent workout. Budget Teeter

Stamina Easy Step and the Teeter were the 2 machines I considered. The teeter had amazing reviews, but was triple the price. The Stamina is about 50 pounds lighter and has a smaller footprint which makes it easier to live with on a daily basis. The stamina uses magnetic resistance like the Teeter, so its motion is silky smooth and silent. I prefer the handle grip shape on the Stamina over the Teeters. I am 6 feet tall and 200 pounds and the Stamina feels rock solid. The comfortable seat can be adjusted up/down and forward/backward to fine tune your personal fit. I’m at both the 2nd highest setting on both the seat height and backward setting, so it definitely could accommodate someone up to 6’4”. The step thru height of the Stamina is lower than the Teeter, making it easier to get on and off. The Stamina resistance knob is located right in front of you and is large making it easier to read and adjust. The Teeter’s resistance knob is tiny and located under the seat making it more difficult to adjust. The Stamina Easy step gives a fun low impact workout. I look forward to getting on it daily. The only improvement I would like to see is longer foot pedals like the Teeter has, so it could fit your whole foot.

Owned Since 2013

I purchased this stepper in April 2013. Use it for 1 out of 4 workouts every week (stairmaster, ashtanga yoga, barbells/kettlebells/weights, spinning). It is now 2021 and I still use the same stepper for 45-50 minutes every week - without fail - almost 8 years later. It’s not fancy. In fact, it’s kinda ugly. But it sure is the Old Faithful of home workout machines and it will probably live in my home gym long after my Peloton and Olympic bench becomes a hand-me-down to my kids.
