We bought it in Oct 2022, Lately, we’ve noticed that the plastic of the steel lined lid, under the black rubber seal is disintegrating, causing fragments to fall into the water storage area. We’ve stopped using it because the plastic might be toxic. We are very disappointed in the durability of the growler’s lid plastic material used because we’ve only been using it for 2 yrs n 5 months. We really like the growler and think it’s the best design available but the plastic material used for the steel lined lid is not suitable for hot water storage and a redesign using suitable materials for hot water storage is needed for the steel lined lid.
