Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Customer Service, Despite a Great Bottle I used this bottle all throughout the winter to keep my tea warm all day. It's incredibly effective. However within a year of my purchase the rubber O-ring that helps insulate and ensure the spill-proof qualities of the bottle snapped. I have emailed numerous times about a replacement part, but have met with NO RESPONSE. For what should be a pretty simple fix, I'm disappointed that the company can't mail me out a replacement O-ring. The bottle is great, but without an O-ring it's essentially useless to me. I'm disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Vacuum Bottle Rocks I've taken my Classic Vacuum Bottle on some cold and unkind journeys, and this bottle has never let me down. Contrary to some, it does not leak so lets just get that straight. Unless of course you don't know how to operate a basic stopping device then yea...there may be a failure. Probably also not should operate motor vehicles of any kind or handle sharp objects....just saying. The stopping device is locked in tight like gold at Fort Knox, and when it is time to unleash the heat ...PRESTO! Smooth controlled flow that is HOT. Simple and highly effective. The End

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks everywhere no matter how you position Irritated to see Stanley's responses to this horrible pour thru lid, trying to say it's because people are doing it wrong ...well I assure you in the three years I have owned this thing I have not ever been able to get it not to spill everywhere when pouring . It's not a "wicked design" it's a piece of garbage that has caused spills over and over again. I literally have to pull over hang the thermos out my window to pour a cup so it doesn't get everywhere I am not an idiot that doesn't understand how the lid works , I get it, turn it just far enough to get coffee to pour, right , not hard to do, it still spills out under the lid and dribbles everywhere . Should Be recalled , can't even replace with a standard lid , it's garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'd give it a 0 star if I could. Bought my 1.4 quart from a store and it leaked between the pour through cap and bottle when pouring. I received a replacement cap that didn't fix the issue. I then received a complete replacement bottle from Stanley and that one leaked as well. Stanley was going to send me a 3rd 1.4 at bottle that I refused to accept, I did however offer to pay the additional cost to upgrade to a Master Vacuum 1.4 that I know has a different cap, but was told they would not up grade . . only down grade, so I received a 1.1 qt. classic. This is not what I wanted. This 1.4 qt. is a very poor design and leaks when pouring almost all of the time no matter how the cap is adjusted. I would not recommend this particular bottle. It does keep coffee hot and does not leak when closed. Customer service tried.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaks when I pour I am now on my 2nd classic thermos (1.4 qt) from Stanley. I use them specifically for coffee. The first one I owned leaked badly when I would pour a cup. I would twist and turn the top, and experiment to find a sweet spot where it wouldn't leak. I always kept the bottle and seals clean, so I know that wasn't the problem. Then, the handle fell off. I wasn't rough with it and I didn't pull on it. I was quite surprised, but I didn't report it because I made due without it. Then, one of my boys got me the identical thermos for Christmas in 2014, the one I'm using now. Same leaks! I still use the thermos because it keeps my coffee nice and hot, but I am tired of cleaning coffee off the counter, my pants, the floor, etc. I have always thought that Stanley makes the best thermos, but I am disappointed in this particular model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot Coffee All Day! This thing is absolutely fantastic. My wife got it for me a couple years ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I have tried all sorts of coffee cups that claim to keep coffee warm all day and they just do not hold up. This bottle keeps my coffee perfectly hot all day, even out in the north woods of Minnesota in the fall and winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rough and tough I've had my 1.4 quart thermos for quite some time. Very rugged for those long overnighters at work to mornings sipping coffee in my boat fishing. I just recently lost my cup on a fishing expedition and also the thermos too. After seeing it roll down the highway and retrieving it minutes later it still works flawlessly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed My dad bout his Stanley A-994B vacuum bottle 50 years ago. As a forestry firefighter, it's accompanied him on many brush fires over his career never failing to deliver hot coffee at the end of a long day. It took a beating and still works awesome. I expected the same performance from my new 1.4 qt bottle but unfortunately, it didn't match up. I did a comparison test with the new vs old bottle. I preheated both with hot water for several minutes, emptied and refilled with hot tap water, sealing them with the stopper. After 8 hours, the water in the 50 year old A-944B was as hot as when I filled it but the water in the new bottle was barely warm. I've repeated it twice to make sure I didn't make a mistake but sadly, the new one doesn't work. Based on so many other positive reviews of the new models, I'm hopeful the replacement bottle I'll receive under warranty will live up to the Stanley tradition. Fingers crossed!
