Just what I needed great for finesse fishing one of my favorite rods.

The Best Trout Rod Out There

I use this 5'6" UL pretty much exclusively for Trout fishing. Once you use this rod nothing will compare. The design is perfect. Small handle easy to hold and cast one handed. Has perfect balance. Flex is excellent and good back bone and fast action.Excellent casting accuracy for throwing small spinners in streams. Incredibly sensitive. Once you fish with this it will be very difficult to use anything else.

Fragile. Handle With Care.

Bought for Christmas last year. Used sparingly and carefully since this was now my "good" rod. In October, while fishing from my yak, it snapped it two while trying to free from a snag. Been fishing actively for 40 years. Have never had a rod snap so easily. I will not buy another St Croix. Regarding warranty, it appears I would have to pay $60 to get it fixed. Not much of a warranty IMO.

Nice Feel Good Action Made In The Usa.

I was looking for a replacement rod for my medium action rod and found this one. It is a bit lighter but should do the job. Made in the USA sold me. It’s March too early for me but will put to use in June for bass season.

I won't have a chance to use this rod before spring but holding it in my hand it will be a perfect crappie rod. Very happy with this purchase.

Great Rod

I bought the 6' medium light two piece recently and have caught largemouth and smallmouth bass with it already. Although I have not tangled with a 3+ lb largemouth yet, I've landed several smallmouth in the 14" range and the rod performed perfect. Bites are easily detected. I definitely would recommend this rod. The only thing that that irritated me about the St Croix rod is the company offered a mail in coupon to get "FREE" St. Croix gear. Turns out the free gear will cost $9.95 for shipping. I'm declining the offer.

Great Ul Rod

Great Rod!. Good balance, light weight, and good action. I expect to get many years of enjoyment from this rod, as I have the St Croix fly rod I purhased from Dick's years ago. Well worth the money.

Best Lightweight Rod Ever!

I have waited for 2 yrs. to purchase the St. Croix Premier 2-piece lightweight rod (2-6 lb). I recently broke down and bought it. Upon opening the package, I could tell it was ideal for my lightweight setup. It is perfectly balanced and just feels good in your hands. I would put it up against any competition. I received this sooner than I expected from Dicks Sporting Goods. My experience with ordering from Dicks couldn't have been better.
