Rated 3 out of 5 by from Becareful hat you fish for.. I had my St.Croix rod for about a two yeas with no issues, and then one night fishing off a boat caught a decent 3lb bass and the tip snapped when I was trying to bring the fish close to the boat. I sent it in to St.Croix, which eneded up costing me $37 with shipping charges, but they ended up sending me a new one. Went fishing with my new rod two weeks later and guess what happened, it snapped on the bottom while casting! I sent it in agian and hopefully they will be able ot fix it or give me a new one. Don't get me wrong they are good rods just had really bad luck so far with the Triumph.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Action and Castability - Handles Larger Fish Very Well I own the 7' MLF 4-10lb and have used it for throwing both plastics and hardbaits for both river and reservoir fishing.I have caught everything from trophy sized smallmouths in the reservoir to big walleye and stripers in the (Delaware) river despite the small size of this rod. This light rod with 6 or 8 lb mono handles big fish like a champ and along with my Shimano Symetre 6-10lb reel I have had some of the best freshwater fights of my life. I have never lost a big one on this rod. It holds the line tension perfectly and the casting on the 7 footer is great. It is pretty pricey for most anglers, but you are getting an amazing product, highly recommended for the avid fisherman!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Rod I wanted a longer, heavier spinning rod for Willamette River chinook and steelhead, and found the St. Croix Triumph had a medium heavy 7'6" model. Just what I wanted! The rod is perfect: no defects or finish issues at all, has good back bone and lots of lifting power at the butt, is sensitive for the blank type and casts a mile. The blank has a great taper; thick at the handle to tame the beasts, with the guides alligned perfectly. I put a Daiwa Legalis 3000SH on it, making this set-up the best I have in the $160.00 range. You can't beat the price for a premium spinning rod. It is a better product than my Fenwick Silver Hawk. I highly recommend this rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love St. Croix I enjoy this rod, but i would look at all St. Croix triumph rods to see which one benefits you for the type of fishing you do! I looked at the selection from various stores before ordering this one at Dicks to get a proper feel! Be sure to check the model number when actively looking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spec This is a great rod for speckled trout and redfish. This was my first time using it. It (TRS66MF pole) is paired with a shimano stratic ci4 2500, suffix 832 (10lb equivilence to mono). Handeled 50 speckled trout and 8 redfish with ease. 3 of the redfish were over 25lbs and it handled them just fine. Max size reel I would use with this rod is a "4000". Great setting power and flexibility. Also very light. I will leave another review if I have any issues with this product. Hope this was helpful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good response, zero strength. I could feel every fish, every weed, every rock. However, while trolling a fish hit the line and within 3 to 4 seconds my St. Croix rod broke at the point where the rod holder held the rod. Not worth the [$] bucks I paid for it. I've seen zebco rods hold up better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty to look at but lacks quality Bought this in the past year and used it about 8 times. The night before a fishing tournament I snagged a 1/4 oz jig head on some reeds. Gave it a little twitch and the dang thing snapped about a foot from the tip. After reading the warranty, the cost to send it in is not really beneficial. I liked the rod and it felt good but I have never snapped a rod like that before. Not sure I really want another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Trout Rod for Missouri Streams Used this rod during opening week of Missouri Trout Season and all I can say is WOW! Caught over 15 fish and rod preformed flawless. Very sensitive and could feel the smallest bites and the bottom of the stream when drifting dough baits. Paired with a Shimanino Syncopate 1000 reel and Berkley Vanish 4lb and very happy. Would buy another as a spare. Everything I expected from St Croix.
