Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this scope. I brought a GS3 4-20x50mm and put it on a .270 win 85 Sako hunter stainless with walnut stock, low mount opti lock mounts and I’m absolutely stoked with this set up! It shoots unbelievable and the scope is really clear in low light. I picked the Steiner over the Swarovski because of the 30mm tube, and I’m very happy with my choice, not only is the price better, but the Steiner lets in more light and feels so much more rugged, the swaro feels flimsy and cheap. A friend has a Hawke scope, zoomed into 24 couldn’t see his groupings at 200m, he had a look through my Steiner and the groupings were not only clear as day, but seemed closer even though his Hawke was supposed to be zoomed in closer! Very happy! Only thing i need is a recommendation for a good scope cover for backpack hunting. Cheers! J

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good Glass Only used at the range twice. Site in very quick. 20X great, but cannot always see the holes at 300 yards. Haven't quite figurred out zeroing the turrets yet. So far very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent optics This is the second scope of this type that I have purchased. I bought one last year to go on my 7mm Rem mag and had great results so I purchased one to go on my new 6.5 Creedmoor. I have a total of 8 Steiner scopes. I am completely satisfied with its clear glass, light gathering quality and overall performance. You cannot go wrong with Steiner optics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and build quality I recently purchased the Steiner GS3 4-20x50 to replace an older model mid tier 3x9 gold ring that is more than 30 years old . The old scope still works fine but I am hoping the Steiner will give me some longer range options for my Remington 700 - 7mm mag. I really like the optics clarity, especially at lower light levels but have not had a chance to actually hunt with it yet to test out the "game sensing" feature. Shooting with it at the range at both short and long distances, further convinced me this was a good decision. The Steiner is built like a tank and comes with one of the best warranties in the industry so I hope to enjoy it for many years to come!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product Purchased a few weeks ago for a new rifle build I am working on. The clarity is great compared to most everything in it's price range. I am mounting on a 1 pc rail so the lack of mounting surface was no issue. It tracks well and runs a box test like a dream assuming you take the time to do a proper install. Clicks are crisp to the feel and light but audible to the ear. It's heavy but not excessive and for most of my purposes a non issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value I purchased this for a Remington 700 in 7mm mag. I choose the S-7 retical because it is designed for 22-250 which has very similar ballistics up to 700 yards. The scope was in perfect shape at delivery. The eyebox is very generous at all but the highest magnifications, and even then maybe more forgiving than some of my other brands. Very good clarity and focus, very good brightness and only average low light visibility. I wish I could have afforded the night hunter series. The focus ring is rubber wrapped and a little too stiff. My rubber ring will bunch up out of position while adjusting in one direction. I may try adding some adhesive under the loose spot. I talked with customer service with a few questions before I purchased and they were great. They gave me ring and mount options and part numbers and I took there advice and everything fit fine with this large scope. I asked about the glass and they did state that it was apochromatic only, not achromatic. I still don't know the exact origin of the lenses but I would like to. This scope has the thirty mm tube and a large ocular end so it does have a very easy, relaxed view, and despite the apochromatic glass I don't see much chromatic aberration at all. The warranty is second to none in this industry.
