Great For Gk's!

I bought these for my 11 yo son this year after owning the GK pants last year so he could see the difference. He LOVES these pants because they have upgraded the padding on the hip area similar to the GK 2 slider shorts. He also likes the shin guard pockets on the outside for convenience. We do wear these under his uniform shorts because they are more fitted, as opposed to the GK pants which are truly more of pants and a thicker material. A few notes- These run super small because they are more "compression" fit than the GK pants. He wears a youth XL in the GK pants and they still fit him- in these he wears an adult small (5'5" and 100 lbs). These do not have any padding on the knees as compared to the GK pants. Padding should really not be needed unless you are playing futsal because it encourages bad habits IMO. He loves the improved padding on the hips, which is where he really needs it. These have made it through approx 40 practices and 14 games so far with no issues...his GK pants have both ripped at the stitching in the knees after 1 full year so hopefully we get the same wear out of these as well. Side note for girls- Storelli offers a women's fit, however they are often sold out. The main difference is the extra space in the front, which some of his female keeper friends found uncomfortable (not all of them but a few). These wash well & I try to not put in the dryer to help avoid breaking down the padding or shrinking, however I have had to throw them in between games and they performed well without shrinking.
