Natural colored baits are your friends.
Early spring time is one of the hottest times of the year for bass to feed voraciously. Primary food sources during this time of year includes crawfish, which matches this baits color tremendously. It also mimics smaller native schools of shad which is coupled by its rattling sounds - depending on your geographic location. I would recommend throwing this color in slightly murky to muddy water. This bait would also work well in clear water, but clear water tends to have lighter color of crawfish and shad; just switch the shade of the lure accordingly.

Great lure, Doesnt last
This is one of my favorite baits to throw. I have caught many monster bass and won tournaments using the various colors of strike king's red-eye shad.HOWEVER, I have to open a new one everytime I go out depending on how good theyre biting I'll go through multiple in a trip due to the paint chipping off especially on the metallic ones such as the gold and silver sexy shad which are my two favorites. I love the products effectiveness but it's getting expensive to replace them so often. I have a clothes hanger entirely full of these with no paint I have been wanting to send a picture of it to Strike King. Its an extremely effective bait I recommend it over any other lipless crank bait but be prepared to replace it after catching a couple nice bucketmouths on one.

One of the best lipless crankbaits for the price!
This lipless crankbait is a little thicker across the top compared to others on the market giving it a bit wider wobble and producing more vibration too, making it great for getting the fishes attention from farther away or in dirtier water. It also is designed to wobble on the fall on slack line which means you can "kill" it on during the retrieve and I have had many bass and other predatory species (even trout!) when doing so, in the right situation of course. With the color selection available for this bait you can cover just about any situation or match the hatch anywhere.

Red Eye Shad...best of the breed
This is the best of all the lipless vibrating baits I have used. What makes if different from all the rest is the way it falls (horizontally and with a strong shimmy). I like it especially in cold water when I lift it off the bottom and let it fall back like a jig. I also get bit as it falls through a school of suspended bass. Great lure!

Flat out catches bass!!
I have caught so many 5lber’s + using this lure! The action is great and flat out works. I tried to use other competitors “store brand” lipless crank and they do not compare to this brand. Would highly recommend!

Strike King Red Eye Shad
Been using these for about 4 or 5 years on KY Lake and others with good success. They do not hang as bad as the open hooks would lead you to believe. Best part is they can be retrieved quick to run shallow, I use them in anything over 3 feet deep. Or long cast and let flutter to bottom on 25 feet or more of depth. Great for pulling up steep drop offs and bluffs.

Outstanding product
This is the greatest lure ever made! I've fished Lake Erie for 3 hrs straight catching largemouth nearly every single cast on one trip. Three 5lb smallmouth, one 4 1/2 lb, one 3lb, smallies, at Lake Erie, in 7ft of water!! On another trip. I fish two lures exclusively, Strikekibg crawdad colored square bills, and Strikeking KVD lipless crank baits!!! I don't do finesse, old man fishing, I crank em with these lures and man do they work!!!

Descent Overall Bait.
A slow/medium retrieve with an occasional pause worked well.The gold paint used on this lure closely resembles the golden shiner minnow and reflects light well. I guess the only things that would have made this bait rate higher is the overall shape isn't very lifelike and though the coloring is great, the details could have been enhanced a bit with adding a fin and mouth etc. I am picky,that may be my biggest problem though. Ha!
