This is the first football jig I ever bought and I did it because where I started fishing has a very rocky bottom and I lost a couple of swim jigs. Throwing this lets me feel the bottom and with a small rage craw it catches a lot of bass.

First Football Jig I Bought

I always thought a swim jig was a swim jig until I bought this football jig. I put a small green pumpkin trailer on this and didn’t believe the number of bass I caught. Simply dragged it across the bottom and the bass ate it up.

Strike King makes great jigs and these are no exception. Grag them on the bottom slow or mix in moderate pops to make Bass bite in the spring and summer. I like the PB&J, Green Pumpkin Craw, and Black and Blue colors.
