Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little frightened to use I have previously owned STX brand shin guards and have to say I don't feel as safe using these as I do with my other pair. I needed a second pair and I was unable to find the type that I already owned so I bought these instead. The protection that they provide comes from a hardly thick piece of foam instead of large foam and plastic blocks that made up my other shin guards. Have to say I'm extremely disappointed because they don't seem like they are going to protect me from much of anything. I'll probably avoid using them for in-game and keep them for practice use. They were also extremely tight around my calves which is uncomfortable. The only good feature that these shin guards have is their reversibility.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok... I bought these shin guards mainly because of the reversible feature. The first time I attempted to put them on at practice it took me at least 10 minutes. My heel kept getting stuck, given I was a little sweaty, but this would be the case in many situations. Although, once they were on they were comfortable and easy to run in. Taking them off however, was just as problematic as putting them on. It may just be my foot, but these shin guards are NOT easy to put on and take off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to wear, easy to wash Our tall teen gets a lot of use from these shin guards. They are easy to put on and easy to wash in the washing machine. The only trouble she has with them is taking them off. She is tall and has a tough time pulling them off on her own. It's super handy that they are reversible. Overall a really good product!

I had looked them up on Amazon and they were more expensive even with my prime free shipping. After I ordered them from Dicks, they came quickly, within days. I love that they are reversible any they fit well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for us Bought these for my daughter for her third year of field hockey. She is 12 years old, 4' 9", and so we moved to the adult size. They are super tight and we will be returning them. I can't imagine why they would fit smaller than youth. They were marked adult.
