I love the sun protection from this hat! It covers not only my face but ears, neck, and tops of my shoulders. I bought it for a paddling trip, and also wear it to the playground, pool, and lake. I also wear it when swimming, and it's held up on a lot of adventures so far. I like how the rim is shapeable, so I can bend the back up so it doesn't rub against my PFD if I am wearing one. I didn't give it 5 stars because it gets a bit hot; I do wish there were ventilation holes or some lighter colors available.
