Rated 3 out of 5 by from A budget 2-boat rack The rack mounts solidly to the cross bars and seems to be solidly constructed. All the straps and hardware you need are included. The hardware appears to be painted or coated steel, definitely not stainless steel. They showed rust streaks after being on the cars for a few days. The rust was just from morning dew, it did not sit out in the rain. If the racks are left on a car for weeks at a time, the mounting hardware will likely rust solid. This type of back-to-back rack puts the boats at the center of the roof so it is more of a reach to put the boats in from either side. If you have a wide or tall vehicle, you might want to consider standard J racks. This would allow mounting the racks closer to the sides of the car where it's easier to put the boats in the racks and attach the straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak mount! I bought this just because it was what dicks had on the shelf and I needed to get my kayak home but I'm actually very impressed with them. They are very sturdy and convenient. I lay my kayak flat upside-down and strap it tight as that is the sturdiest way. Even more sturdy than Thule angled mounts. The option to put it up and mount two is awesome and also holds very well. Also I have the stock gti cross bars which r very thick and many things don't fit on. These fit no problem. Very satisfied with these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy installation It is very simple to install, very sturdy and i love the fact that i can adjust the angle of the bar. The only tricky part at first is strapping your kayak down. It takes a little practice but i absolutely recommend this.
