Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have now played almost 10 rounds... PURE!!! I am a 12 handicap and was playing a mizuno combo set... I was going to get the MP-18 combo, which are just gorgeous, but after getting on track man, these were just a little more forgiving on the off hits. They are slightly larger blades, which I didn’t think I would like, but that thought dissolved on the first hole. They aren’t really longer, but they are quite strong on the lofts, so they play as you’d expect. By far the nicest feeling, sounding, looking Taylormade irons I have hit. Worth hitting. Expensive, for sure, but I enjoy them. I still dream about my Mizunos, but I also dream about hitting like Dustin Johnson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Them Never owned a new set of Irons, always had hand me downs. Decided to get me a new set. It was very confusing and difficult with all the different products out there on the market. I hit a lot of different irons and my final choice was the P-790. Was a little worried that i am a 13 handicap that this irons weren't going to work for me, but i was dead wrong. I love them. I hit the ball 5 to 10 yards farther, there forgiving, straighter shots and last i get some back spin on the ball which I've never gotten. I never could hit a 4 iron but now i hit P-790 4 iron 225yds and straight, i don't even pull of my fairway woods out. I'm glad i made the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from P790 change my game becomes like pro I had searched new irons for couple years, saw lots of reviews of irons, 718 TMB, AP2, Ping blade, Ping i-200, and so and so. I mind almost went to Ping i-200 but P790 came out almost about the time of swiping my card. Tried P790 many times and finally in my hand. P790 has changed my club selection; was 7 iron for 130m but now 9 iron. I am 59 years old man. Besides, head shape is awesome!!! Price was reasonable!!! Performance is beautiful. Do not to worry about iron head shape which looks like professional blade iron. Shaft fitting is highly recommended when buying.I am searching M4 driver with UST V2 HL shaft driver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Ball Flight and Distance I did a couple of fittings to find the Right Irons and 2 times the P790 were top of the list. My old irons were Mizunos 825Pros. The difference was night and Day. The spin rate was in the low 5000 for the 7 IRON which was perfect. as my old 7Iron was up closer the 9000, After getting the Lie and shaft sorted the rest was easy. The contact feel and Ball fight was WOW! Straight as an Arrow and on the occasion a slight Draw. The clubs didnt feel loud at all on Miss hits either. The Lie of the Club Give you a little more distancewhich i new and was a plus for my swing speed. 6 iron was 195. This was well worth the wait and money spent in finding the right Irons for my swing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best iron I have ever hit I bought a 7-iron to test the hype. Honestly, never been a huge TM fan. That changed with one range trip. I laughed at the distance. Same loft specs as previous clubs so I know TM wasn't hiding distance in a de-lofted 7. They have something with the "filled" hollow body. Center strikes were pure magic on distance, height and straightness. Off center strikes were surprisingly good for an iron that looks like a players iron. Not only is this the best looking iron, it has the performance to back it up. PXG should be worried somebody was able to replicate their technology at a much lower price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent feel and forgiveness Months ago I purchased a set of M4 s because I thought well, I am a high handicap so I need more of a game improving iron. After months of playing golf and lessons I continued to have issues. It was finally brought to my attention that maybe the clubs were a bit of an issue for my style of Swing. I am sometimes inconsistent but overall a good ball-striker. I read some articles about how to choose the right irons and came across a few articles discussing about testing. Many of them discuss use what feels right and not who the indeed skill of the player is. I made the mistake before purchasing the m4s after reading many articles and being convinced that I needed that type of Club. When I went to dicks the salesman agreed high handicap equals game improvement irons. Well I can tell you after about an hour with the p790's it became apparent I made the wrong selection. With the seven iron my ball carry was at least 20 yards farther than the m4's...20 yards consistently! I couldn't get over how well these clubs felt and the forgiveness was exceptional. So my suggestion is do as much research as you can and find out why you are a high handicap before assuming the type of irons you need...for me there isn't a set of irons out there that would of helped my inconsistentcy. Now when I strike the ball the outcome is beautiful. Also, I sometimes hit fat and the larger M4 irons made that worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TM Irons I have ever gamed I have played TM products on and off over the years. I loved the performance for the RSI irons a few years back but not the look. The 790's have that "players" iron look... but surprisingly forgiving because they have a compact shape. Looks sweet on address. The sound is very different from anything I have hit previously. Note that you will feel an off center hit like a blade.. but little distance lost (its the ball flight that you notice right away is not struck cleanly). Strike these babies in the center and BOOM.... Penetrating ball flight like you hit a fairway wood, but soft landing. Tomorrow will make my 3rd round with them... I full expect to continue to make strides with the irons as I get use to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Irons I have always played Titleist throughout the bag. Recently I transitions to an M3 driver and 3 wood and the P790 irons. I absolutely love all of these clubs. The irons are extremely easy to hit and allow you to be creative. I seem to be able to pull of more shots and more consistent shots with these irons. Mishits do result in loss of distance, but when you pure it, these clubs fly. The lofts are gained but I'm hitting my irons from 4-9 on avg about 8-10 yards further. My only complaint is the PW. Maybe I'm not used to it yet but it just doesn't seem comfortable yet. If I were to buy again I would get 2UDI, 4-9, then your preferred set of PW-60. All in all these irons are absolutely the best irons I have ever hit!
