Good Quality Dumbbells, But Expect Some Smell And Grease At First
Overall, we’re really happy with this dumbbell set. The weights themselves feel solid and well-made, and the hex design keeps them from rolling around. The rack was easy to assemble, and we haven’t had any of the stability issues that some other reviewers mentioned. That said, there were two minor downsides when we first opened them. The rubber had a pretty strong smell right out of the box, which seemed like typical rubber off-gassing. It was noticeable at first but either faded after a while or we just stopped noticing it. The other thing we noticed was a slightly greasy or oily residue on some of the dumbbells that left black marks on our hands and even on the carpet. Fortunately, it cleaned up easily with a stain remover, and wiping the dumbbells down helped. Aside from those initial issues, the set has been great. We’ve been using them regularly with YouTube workout videos, and they feel like good-quality equipment. We also got them during a good sale, which made the value even better. Overall, I’d recommend them if you’re looking for a solid home dumbbell set.

Solid But Super Smelly
Solid set of weights and nice to av variety of weight do a reasonable price. The smell issue is a problem. Our entire downstairs smells like chemical/rubber. Smelled like someone smoking a cigar when I first opened them re the wet metal handles. We’ve left our door open for multiple days and the smell is still present.
