I just recently purchased a New rain jacket because I needed an upgrade, overall the jacket does stop the rain from seeping through. I am a mail carrier and I’m use to heavy downpours so I need tough equipment. While it’s not the best coat out there for rain it does shield you from becoming completely soaked
