Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far the best designed shoe of its style on the market! I am a shoe fanatic. I am constantly buying shoes of all types, and as of lately I am in to the boot style. This boot is by far the best boot I have purchased in my collection. No other brand compares. The quality is beyond exceptional, and everywhere I go someone complements my shoes. These boots are "conversation-starters" for sure. Keep these alive, North Face! I am almost ready to purchase my next pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boots But The "Ice-Pick" Tech Doesn't Work These are good, comfortable boots. Like the blue color very much. I would buy them again. Had a bit of a problem with initial fit but swapped in some supplemental arch supports ("Super Feet") and that solved things. Have been through pretty deep slush with no moisture problems. Have also been through real cold stuff with no feet chill. My one complaint - North Face is marketing Winter Grip outer soles with Ice Pick lugs. I like the idea but the execution left me, well, cold (sorry). It's not a lie like "smoking is good for your health" but after a recent ice storm I found exactly, precisely no difference in grip from my old, ordinary winter boots. I still slipped around like crazy and almost planted myself backward once or twice. Writing as a retired one, I say beware the slogans of the marketing man.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TNF Winter Grip rubber outsole is a let down I bought this shoes today for the sole purpose of the winter grip feature so I can walk confidently on icy pavement. I tested it on Boston freezing and icy holiday week. I walked a couple of times on my block as most of the side streets have icy patch from the recent rain and below zero temperature (it is 17F degrees today). And I have concluded based on my test that the "Durable TNF Winter Grip® rubber outsole with IcePick® temperature-sensitive lugs" does not work. I still slipped on the icy patches. It is not better than my rain shoes with normal rubber sole. It seems that the temperature sensitive lugs did not activate when I went out to test it. Which leads me to a technical question: What exact temperature that these lugs activate? What is the time frame for it to activate? Like if the shoes are inside a warm house and you suddenly want to go out for a walk, will the temperature sensitive lugs activates (harden) immediately? Or you have to wait for like 5 minutes? There are no technical explanation on how this Durable TNF Winter Grip® rubber outsole with IcePick® temperature-sensitive lugs works on the North Face website. I am really dissapointed at this product and I am returning it immediately. I am going to try Merrell shoes with Arctic Grip function. I saw some good reviews on this kind of sole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boots I bought these boots about a month ago and I am very impressed with the quality and comfort of these boots. We have had 2 sever snow storms and below freezing temps and they have been amazing. I have had my feet buried in 2 feet of snow and they stayed warm and dry the entire time they have great traction and also look stylish at the same time I will definitely buy these again when I need a new pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly comfortable and great foot support. I bought these shoes because I was going to Chicago and was looking for some winter boots. I walked 12 miles the first day and 8 miles the second, all around the city. I would’ve usually been icing my feet by the end of the night but these shoes have phenomenal foot support and I could’ve walked another 12 miles! I highly recommend these shoes! They fit true to size and are really comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I I would definitely buy this boots again. I I love the way they look, the general style. The boots are super comfortable yet feel strong to go "off road", quite versatile on the snow, ice, and wet surfaces.
