Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Like These Boots. Been wearing new pair of these boots this winter in Vail Colorado to work in the snow and they have performed very well. Warm - I've tested them down to 2 degrees F so far.No problems with waterproofing. They are comfortable - I'd rate them an 8 out of 10 for comfort. Easy to put on and take off - a big plus at my age. The leather upper still looks like new - I like a lot better than the "Rubber" look. The cleated bottom soles give good traction in the snow and do OK on the ice. I wear size 11 to 11.5. These are 11 and give a snug comfortable fit. I like these boots a lot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Minor Issues The upper most lace loop is protruding slightly out in this boot because the upper is bulkier than appears. This loop snagged on my $230 snow pants and completely destroyed the hem, and almost caused me to fall. Same thing a couple hours later, only this time one lace caught on the opposite boot while walking, destroying the laces and once again almost falling. You will need pants that will cover the tops of the boots to ensure no "surprises." Otherwise very warm and stylish boots, seem well constructed besides the last lace hook. Good grip on ice and snow. Fits true to size for a boot, I had a pair of thicker socks and an insole and fit as a normal set up would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Boots These boots are warm! We went snowmobiling at the Continental Devide the week after Christmas and I wore these boots with regular tube socks and not once did my feat ever get cold! I have also been wearing these boots to work, they are stylish, they fit true to size and not to warm when it is 60* outside. Overall they are a great pair of boots and very glad I purchased them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good construction This was a really nice boot! Keep in mind that it is a boot. The picture made me think it would be the same size/bulkiness as a bean boot or sorel boot to wear around on cold evenings to eat out. It was more bulky like a snow boot but would be great for outdoor activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grip, Warmth and Wintery Comfort Bought these at a North Face store in a snowstorm when the winter boots I was wearing wearing were no longer doing their job. I wore my new boots out of the store and continued on a 4 mile walk. They were/are incredibly comfortable. I've used them on wet and dry days and they always keep my feet comfortable. I have a wider foot and the boots, although were narrow at the start, have shaped nicely to my feet. The "ice pick" grip is a great steady tread for walking in snowy conditions. I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot I was looking for a light/warm boot that could serve many different functions. This boot fit the bill perfectly. It is light and stylish enough to wear when around town running errands when its snowing, but heavy and warm enough to keep your feet warm and dry while you are shoveling snow, chopping wood, or walking your dogs in snowy conditions. If you are looking for an all around boot for daily wear in wet or snowy conditions this is the perfect choice. When I first put them on they felt about half a size too big when I was wearing my thin workout socks. Then I put them on to shovel some snow and put on my thick wool socks and they fit much better. So if you don't mind a little bit of toe room order true to size, if you like a tighter fit order about half a size smaller than your true size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable Boot, Great Look I use these boots for rainy and/or cold weather. They're very durable and warm (not to mention comfortable). I've gotten plenty of compliments on the look of these boots. In my opinion, they have all of the great characteristics of other Duck-style boots, without the weird color scheme. I've had problems with boots in the past cracking near the soles and leaking in wintery weather. These boots, however, don't seem to have that problem (plus they're backed by a pretty nice warranty).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent winter boots Having owned many different pairs of boots, I was immediately drawn to the design/outward appearance of the TNF MEN'S BALLARD DUCK BOOT. Yet, I was very skeptical about spending less than a $100 for a pair winter boots because it has been my experience you get what you pay for. Regardless, I researched the boots and reviews. Bottom line: Everything I saw pointed to a chance worth taking. Boy, was I surprised at the quality of the boots when they arrived. My extremely flat feet, in addition to occasional plantar fasciitis attacks were immediately comfortable - without reservation - in their new home. I like the insulation, semi-hard sole, and their streamlined appearance. In this case, too good to be true is the real deal. I will purchase another pair, but different color. TNF boots have come along away!
