Rated 1 out of 5 by BigErn from Awful update to a timeless classic Beware! For some reason, North Face decided to update their classic Denali Fleece. It's now the "Denali 2," and its terrible. The material is thinner, the pit zips are gone, the tight elastic cuffs have been replaced with a very loose band-style cuff, and the collar is way too high in the front. Overall a poor design by the North Face.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mikie from So sad, very cheap fleece that sheds everywhere... This is my FOURTH North Face Denali, and I have to say the first three (as with just about everything else I've ever ordered from North Face) were great, and I was a very satisfied customer. I've ordered tons of NF clothes, footwear, gear, packs, tents, outwear -- and although expensive, it's always been worth it. Now I just bought my fourth Denali, and big change -- the new "recycled" fleece sheds everywhere -- I find the fuzz on my clothes, in my car, on my equipment, stuck on my straps, all over the place. I've tried washing and drying it (twice), spent a ton of time with a lint remover roller, and still the insidious "Bolt Blue" strands of fleece are showing up everywhere... If I just lightly pinch the material with my finger tips (NOT my finger nails), I can easily pull out a whole bunch of strands. And tho not a biggie, I'll just mention the fact that the very cheap snap on the sleeve broke the first day (without my even using it), so I had to super glue that (these USED to be metal snaps on previous Denali's, but no more...) AMAZING for a $180 fleece jacket!!! North Face used to be worth the big $$, but certainly NOT in this case!!! Big, big disappointment here, from a very long time, hugely devoted North Face customer...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiny1971 from Great jacket for the Big/Tall crowd I'm 6' 6" 304lbs...I purchased my Denali after already being a NF shopper #Tri-Climate, Running Pants, Convertible Pants etc and wanted one of these jackets solely for it's great looks. I bought a 3XL which on first wear did feel very snug based on how my other TNF fleeces fit. BUT I love this jacket and wouldn't trade it for anything. Big/Tall guys, don't be afraid of the styling because not for nothing, it's a slimming jacket when you have it on, it looks and feels great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by STP from go for the custom Denali instead This jacket is nice, but the custom Denali is much nicer! The custom jacket has pit zips (for ventilation & temperature adjustment), several more pockets, and nicer cuffs. When I ordered this regular model, I didn't realize those differences. Sent it back and ordered the custom version. The "upgrade" is well worth the price difference. BTW: I had my last TNF fleece jacket for 30+ years. It's a little threadbare now, but can still use it on mild fall days in the mountains. Thanks for such high quality clothing...

Rated 5 out of 5 by GRites from Awesome changes First New Denali fleecy in over 15 years. Love the changes made to the jacket (cuffs and no zippers under arms) but also love the classic look which remains timeless. Here's to another 15

Rated 5 out of 5 by DiverChic from NOTHING COMPARES Although you rarely need a "warm coat" in Arizona, it gets a bit chilly for me in our "winter" time. I had used a friends Denali about 2yrs ago when we were diving in February. We had 52* water temps and I could not get warm on our surface interval. He gave me his North Face Denali to wear/warm up and I didn't even want to take it off to finish my dives:) This year I finally bought my own and I literally don't want to take it off. I will gladly dress "summer" underneath so I can wear it longer. It's warm and the fabric is very "plush" (comfy/fuzzy). You can't even compare a fleece jacket to this! They are completely different categories. I would recommend this OVER AND OVER to anyone looking for something that is good quality and will last but not a full on "coat"!! (I have other North Face items that are 5-6yrs old and look almost new so the brand speaks for itself.) The coldest temps I have worn this in are about 37-40* in the mornings and I stay warm enough.
