Bought it to replace another well worn coat that was about 10 years old. It's light weight, warm enough for mild weather (down to freezing) and blocks wind while still "breathing" enough to not get sweaty during afternoon warm ups.

My teenager said he needed a coat, which is an oxymoron these days! He didn't want anything too thick or puffy and this coat was perfect for him. Keeps him warm and he can still wear a hoodie under so its not too constrictive either. It feels pretty thin, but he says he is not cold in it.

Warmer Than I Expected

I bought this jacket to use a a thinner jacket so I would not have to take it off during longer road trips without roasting. To my suprise, it's also a lot more wind resistant/proof than expected. I can wear it out to shovel snow and stay warm without sweating like I would in a heavy winter jacket. It's a great jacket to throw on to take the dog out for a walk. Recently, we've had negative 30 degree windchill temps and i was able to talk the dog out for about 10 minutes. I can't believe for such a light weight jacket, it keeps you so warm. I'm glad I didn't go with a the thicker one.
