It is confy an lightweight but the size it's smaller than year older model.

What can I say, I enjoy this so much I'm taking time to let you know how awesome it is. I've worn it outside in single digits with just a t shirt underneath and can't feel the wind at all. It's so toasty. The good has good coverage and warm. Plenty of pockets. I saw some reviews about feathers shedding, and yes they do, but I did some research and tossing it in the dryer with some tennis balls seemed to settle the down. Haven't seen a feather since. Oh and not that I care about other people's opinions, but I've received quite a few compliments on it.

This Jacket Is So Warm.

Perfect fit, buy the size that you would wear as a shirt. It works so well with the Summit Series Torre Egger jacket. It holds heat in and blocks the wind fairly well but still needs a shell.

Is This An Example Of Change In Quality Under A New Company?

For 700 fill down, this jacket is very loosely packed. The fill isn't adequate to butt up against the stitch lines so there are definitely some cold spots. I'm using this as an insulating liner so that does solve a bit of the problem, but for this kind of price, I truly think this is a great example of The North Face using the brand name, and going a bit shoddy on the quality. Sadly, we're seeing more and more of this with North Face products lately.

This Product is defintely a must have item for hikers and non hikers. you can wear them normal daily and more. but Colors... I must say... Colors... Get some other colors North Face... Get silver color! SILVER!! why is this color only available in other countries as different name like matterhorn? if you do read these reviews please get SILVER!!!
