A Very Nice Light Full-zip Jacket...

I picked this up in late autumn (2025) to wear on early morning walks when the temperatures were a quite a bit chiller than early autumn but by late morning would rise well into the higher 50's to lower 60's. It is comfortable and keeps me at the right temperature level on 6-7 mile walks in and around Seattle. I didn't purchase it early enough for alpine hikes in the North Cascades this summer and fall, but as a long-time veteran hiker, I'm sure it will work fine next year and beyond. It is very light (weight-wise) and would roll up quite small for storage in a day pack. It looks good, as well. I also like the left-sleeve shoulder zip pocket for stashing the house key while on walks. For the record and full disclosure, I worked for The North Face for three years in Berkeley in the early 1980s . But I migrated to other outerwear suppliers in the late 1980's and beyond to 2025. I like some recent purchases I've made from TNF and will be checking them out more often in the future when the need arises. I've picked up several very good outerwear items from them this autumn for walking and hiking.

Juuuust Enough...

I wear this for work mostly, walking construction projects with clients and prospects. It certainly does block wind, is just thick enough to be warm, and light enough to...light...? Not sure what I'm trying to say but yeah, this was an easy buy. Looks sharp, functional, and I pray I get to wear it as a baselayer skiing here in CO soon.

Perfect Lightweight Jacket

It's great as a light jacket. Takes up very little space in luggage too.

Nice Jacket, Looks & Fits Great

The jacket is more lightweight than I imagined and seems quite thin. My main concern about that is I hope it does not rip easily. Time will tell. Also, I kind of wanted a hooded jacket for fall, but it is warmer than it seems like it would be. It looks great & I like the light blue color. I had been monitoring North Face jacket prices at Dick's (had gift cards), and so I bought this one for the price savings offer.

Wind Resistance Is Excellent

One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind-chill than with my old softshell. Very happy with that. The hand pockets are secure, the sleeve pocket is handy for small stuff, and mesh pocket bags help with breathability. The drawcord hem and elastic cuffs let me tighten things up nicely when wind picks up.
