Good For Any Situation & Fall /Spring.
Tested this car camping with no issues. Took it across Banff & Jasper. Can practically set it up in the dark. Rain resistance is good. Stable against wind. Floor is durable but get the footprint anyways. No issues after 3 years. Great tent although a bit heavy for multi day hikes. Consider the Trail Light tent if you hike multiple days less 1 or 2 lbs.

Several Years Old And I Still Love It
I stay warm at night because it's cozy. It helps with humidity because it's very well-vented. It's protective in the rain because the fly can cover all sides when desired. I love the vestibule on both sides with two entryways. Been in some storms and it ONCE leaked 2 drips. (Probably my fault). I thought about getting a bigger size but I can't find another that gives me what this tent provides. Cons? You'll probably get wet if you crawl out while it's actively raining because it's impossible to avoid the rainfly flap at the entry. Meh. Stay inside. It's raining. Lol

Bad Product
I purchased this item 3 days ago and have already returned it. After reading the mixed reviews online I decided to purchase this tent due to availability and price. This was a mistake. During my very first time setting up this tent, indoors, and while following the included instructions a pole snapped. I think this speaks to the quality of the tent. It is also quite confusing and weird that Dick's doesn't sell the matching tent footprint, I had to go to a different retailer to purchase it and will be returning that too.

River Guide Approved
I've taken this tent down thousands of miles of rivers int he western US and have never had a problem. Super airy on hot nights and the rainfly withstands monsoon rains well. Definitely a permanent resident in my dry bag.

Absolute Tank Of A Tent
Had this tent for 3 years now, although not a 4 season tent I have taken it to extreme conditions in the high sierras. Withstood 60+ mph winds and snow storms. Absolute bomber tent, would recommend!

Solid Tent, Great Features
Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application (mostly motorcycle camping). I've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I'm careful with zippers and don't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to "lead" the zipper-pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I don't understand how poles can just "break" or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed - that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals aren't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly - great tent in my experience!

Don't Get This
I've owned two of them now the first one broke on the trail within a week. Had to fight with north face customer service to try and see how we could replace when I was on the trail no luck. Now the same thing has happened in the same amount of time. Now I'm just gonna be buying something else. I don't wanna fight customer service on my hiking trip total crap tent.

Easy Up, Very Waterproof
I love this tent. Ive had it in some severe storms not a drop made it through and held up great. Sets up easy. It does get a lot of condensation on the fly and my biggest gripe the zippers all 4 of them on the little vestibule area catch the fabric. You will have to crawl out from under it if your short or stick your hand out under the fly and pull fabric out of the zipper and guide it up from both interior and exterior of the tent st the same time

If You Would Like A Tent That Breaks After Five Days Of Use!
I will give it 5 stars for waterproofing, as it still holds up with the Gorilla tape I have to use after the tent poles snapped with barely any wear. I guess I shouldn't expect more from a company that has a better reputation for overpriced fleece pullovers than actual camping gear.

I Wouldnt Recommend This Tent In The Backcountry
It rained almost every afternoon. The flap over the zipper caught every time you tried to unzip it from the inside. Horrible design! I should not have to hold the flap open with one hand and unzip the rainfly with the other hand!!! Might be one of the worst designs Ever! Maybe you should take the zipper technology in you mummy bags and apply it to your rain fly. The rainfly vestibule needs to extend out further and so should the sides. Honestly wish I could return this tent as would give it a F rating all day long. Dont buy this tent as the rainfly issues make this a clearance sale tent at best.

Great Tent Overall
Super easy to put up even with one person. Materials are solid, seams are taped. Velcro closures on the rain fly can catch when being zipped up, so you do need to guide them by hand (my only gripe). Wholeheartedly recommend

Cozy Two Person Tent
Very spacious tent for its size. Love the squared dome of the tent. No issues with condensation when waking up.
