Wouldn't Buy Again

Was very excited for my first back country tent purchase. Took it front country first to trial it out and I'm sure glad I did! Came back from a day hiking to find the tent collapsed with a puddle of water on top. The tent only came with two guide ropes, Northface customer support weren't able to tell me if it was meant to come with two or four ropes? Super disappointing

This Tent Is Everything

I already loved the tent for simple backcountry camping. But THEN I brought it to the rough Yukon - at the end of the trip everyone in the group was impressed by my tent. It held against heavy rain, 60km/h wind gusts including sand blow. Best thing: I stepped out in the middle of the night, finding myself ankle-deep in the lake that had risen. BUT everything in the tent kept cozy and dry! That's a statement on water-resistance. Also, it looks really really cool.
