Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot of pilling on the material I've used these pants a few times for light hikes, but mostly I use them for gym climbing and day-to-day casual wear. I've had them for about two months and the fabric is really pilling. They're still comfortable and not yet dysfunctional, but I'm pretty disappointed that such a recent purchase is already degrading so much. I really like the pants for climbing-the fit and flexibility is perfect and the pockets are great. I really wish there would be more investment in the materials though-to be pilling all over the after two months of wear is pretty unacceptable. For what it's worth, I've probably washed them in the machine three times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Super cute & comfy but not durable! COMFY - yes. Stylish - yes. Durable - NO. I bought two pair for intended use for hiking & casual work and out with friends. They are cute and they are comfortable, but that only lasts for a couple hours until your first snag. The tags say "Durable abrasion and snag resistant construction" - both pair of pants snagged easily (one by my dog and other by my computer??!!). I've worn one pair only 3 times and have not even put them to the test on serious hikes and they are already pilling and looking like I've had them for years. I would not recommend these for hiking or for anyone who has pets. Both of my brand new pants - I can now not wear out to dinner or work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible fabric, stay away! I bought these pants to wear while hiking/camping this summer. Just after the first wear - fabric had MAJOR PILLING all over. It's probably been worn maybe a handful of times and washed on gentle cycle and air dried. The pants look horrible to the point that I am embarrassed to wear it - because it looks so worn and damaged. The fit is good especially if you're petite but I would NOT RECOMMEND IT!! Save your money and find something else with more durable fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Comfortable Capris ever!! I work out 6 days a week but don't use these capris for exercising. I use them for casual wear. I bought every color they come in. I was wearing Lululemon Studio pants and they stopped making them. I happened to see these Northface capris and bought 1 pair to see if I liked them as well as the Lulu's. I did and bought every color and bought 2 pair of black and 2 pair of the tan color. They are so comfy.... Light weight....and cute!! Please don't ever quit making these. And to all of you Lulu wearers who are mad you can't get the Lulu Studio pants anymore..... Try these!! These are great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfortable and versatile pants Bought these for outdoor adventures, but have been so impressed that I bought them in every color! I'm one of those people who is super picky about pants, but these are perfect! The soft waistband is comfortable, creates a slim outline, doesn't dig in, and doesn't slip down while i walk around. The legs are form fitted, but not tight. Usually my biggest complaint with pants are that the tightness around my calves and thighs pull down, but not with these pants! I may buy a couple extras as i've dressed them up to be my office work attire now as well! Size large fits perfect, I normally wear size 14.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shocked by the 5 star ratings I am usually quite a happy and content TNF customer. I've always been pleased with their quality. I purchased these capris based on all the 5 star reviewers who stated that they love them, however I was utterly disappointed when these arrived. These capris are some of the poorest quality I've seen and definitely the poorest quality TNF has put out. The material is super thin and looks extremely fragile. I purchased the black and sizing was off. I thought I would end up buying many colors, needless to say that will not be happening and the black ones will be returned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love last year's Aphrodite Capri but not the 2.0! Last year I bought 3 pairs of the Aphrodite capris & loved them! I continue to wear them this season and they look brand new. I was excited to see that North Face came out with a new 2.0 version- boy was I wrong. After 1 wearing and washing they are pilling and stain/ white patches when they air dry (I only wash them on gentle with dark colors- I have the black 2.0 capris). I was going to buy another pair but don't want to send the money in something that won't last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT DURABLE! Was excited to wear these on a five-day backpacking trip, since they are comfy and the knit waistband was a nice change from traditional-waisted hiking pants. However, within the second day of hiking, the fabric began to pill horribly, even in areas with no friction contact. By the end of five days, these new pants looked worse than others I've had and used for years! Hugely disappointing. Expected better fabric, especially as their description indicates that they are "ultra-durable."
