Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have the older version of this boot. Had then for about 2 years - only worn a handful of times and stored in cool, dry closet when out of season. Yesterday, I was wearing these boots as I was stranded on the highway during the blizzard that hit the northeast. The entire front of the left boots molded plastic/rubber part cracked into several pieces then continued to split the entire length of the side of the boot. I was completely disappointed as you spend good money for what should be a good quality boot to only end up with a cold wet foot! Time to find a new pair of boots and not north face this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't trust these have had a pair for a couple of years, worn perhaps 8 times at the most. recently took them on a short snow tromp (like 200 yards) and the rubber toe box just shattered, broke apart exposing the white felty underlayer. a 1 year limited warranty does me no good. on line posts with similar problems are met the comment from n.f. that you have to wear them a lot, they were not meant to be "stored." very, very disappointing. don't even want a replacement pair, who needs a boot you can't count on to maintain it's bootlike qualities, just when you need it the most, i.e. in the snow?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from beware - poor quality materials These boots were great. They fit well and are warm. However, the rubber foot section degrades with time. Our pair had been worn a couple of times, then went into the closet for a couple of years. My daughter recently wore them again to walk to class, and the entire toe box section of the boot split open. I have many pair of Sorel and other brands that are used seasonally or infrequently, and have never had something like this happen. Do not expect the normal North Face quality with this product, and beware, TNF warranty on footwear is only a year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Big Boot The boots themselves look so cute and adorable online. However, when I got them they were huge looking (appearance wise, not fit). I compared them to my snowboarding boots and they were just about the same look. They are big and bulky would be my warning, you really couldn't tell the difference between my snowboarding boots and these. I wear a size 10 and ordered a 10.5 because of the other reviews and the shoes were too big for me (separate from appearance). The boots seemed warm for the short time I had them on. However, if you are looking for something like the picture, be warned these shoes did not make my already big feet look any smaller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! Bought these boots, and the first time I wore them, I walked 100 yards in 45 degree weather. The toes on both boots completely self destructed. I looked down at my feet, as they were cold, thought there was snow, (which there was none), and found the white was the interior boot insulation. These boots are completely worthless, and I will find a replacement brand that hold up to light walking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same boot you think you're getting. I purchased the off white, lighter colored boot last year, but had to return them when they were too tight and they didn't have a size up. I ordered the same boot this year in a half size up and the boot that was sent was nothing like what I had last year. What I received in 2016 looked exactly like the picture. The 2017 boot is more brown and missing all the fluff that you see in the picture. The fluff that I experienced the first go around. Furthermore, the half size up is now too big. False advertising for sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from anything BUT waterproof I purchased these boots before my trip to New Mexico. I was specifically looking for waterproof boots and these ones seemed to fit the bill. However, after only 40 minutes of hiking in the mountains (and we were not even hiking in the deep snow, but walked on the road) my feet were wet and freezing. I was so glad that it was just a short hike and not an overnight camping trip in the mountains. I decided to give these boots a second chance and wore them in nyc - the same story. My feet were wet and freezing after just half an hour outside. Will be returning these boots. A huge disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubber area cracked after less than 20 wears Bought similar NF Chilkats a few years ago for winter sports-hiking, snowshoeing. I've probably used them less than 20 times and stored them in the original box in my closet after cleaning and drying them. After snowshoeing today, I discovered the left boot had cracked horribly in the rubber area completely across the instep. Online research showed this to be an issue. I guess I shouldn't have stored it in the box. The boots, apparently need to breath. Buyers beware.
