Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute coat This is a cute, stylish and useful coat. I like the bright color and the fit is really nice for a woman's body (most coats make me feel boxy and clunky). My main complaint is how easily it stains. I've worn it for one two-day ski trip where I barely touched anything other than white snow and the sleeves and back already have dark splotches that won't come out. Because the color is so bright, they are super easy to see. For how expensive this coat is and considering it is a jacket used outdoors and to be active, it seems pretty delicate in how easy it stains. I will be disappointed if I end up with a red coat covered in black smudges I can't clean off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mom In-Law Impressed My wife and I bought this for her mother. She is very picky. Loves the jacket thought. Very stylish, warm, and great for a midwest winter. The jacket has a ton of great features that would make it a great ski jacket/shell. Zipper in very convenient spots. A wind skirt that snaps into the jacket so it doesn't flop around when not in use. I really like this feature. Great jacket overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and Flattering This is probably my favorite of several North Face shells I've owned. Fitted, simple, hits below the hip so I don't get wind or snow up my back. It's light but waterproof, with mesh lining. No Velcro to get stuck in my hair/scarf or excessively bulky pocket flaps. Always love the shell/liner combo - particularly here in the south where we need to be able to remove layers mid-day. This liner is similar to the thermoball liner from my last jacket but seems lighter and more fitted. I agree that the zipper tabs are cute but impractically tiny for gloved fingers. The inauguration blue is less purple than in the photo - it's a very rich vibrant blue color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Ski Jacket I bought this jacket mainly for downhill skiing. I have always gotten traditional insulated jackets in the past but would get annoyed at the end of the season when it would be way to warm for them so I decided to get a 3 in 1 to try and solve this. I looked at a lot of them and eventually settled on North Face as they had the best features and price. I have taken it out a couple times now and have been impressed with it. It has been warm when I needed it and the vents under the arms bring enough fresh air in to cool it down while skiing but not so cold that I need to zip them back up every time I'm on a lift. The length is great, especially the longer back so that it covers my back and doesn't ride up. I do wish it had was an inside breast pocket for my phone and money/cards. I can keep them in the outside breast pocket well enough but I do prefer having that inside pocket for extra security. It would have also been nice to have a place to attach wickets to for ski passes or even a season pass pocket. My last jacket had one of those and it was very nice not having to unzip every time I had to get checked. The sleeve length is also a bit short if you want to wear them over gloves or mittens. My mittens have a bit of a cuff so I can do it ok but if yours don't it might be difficult. The zippers are a bit skinny so aren't always super easy to zip up unfortunately but that's a small thing that I probably just have to get used to. I ordered the Quail Grey color and, while it is definitely more lavender than grey, I do like the color a lot and get many compliments on it. Overall I really like the jacket and would recommend it to other people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight I bought this jacket a month ago and I love it! It’s lightweight while still being warm. The day after I bought it, it was 12 degrees outside and this coat kept me warm! It’s tailored in a little around the waist and the longer tail in the back covers my butt. I’m 5 ‘0 so the sleeves are a little long, I hold them back with the Velcro on the wrists. Love this coat!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ripped Liner I bought this jacket and washed it straight away per the instructions. I wore it the next day and loved it right away, it was everything I needed and seemed to be worth every cent. Until I had to wash the liner again after wearing it daily for three months and it was a little less than fresh. Well, both times I washed the jackets according to instructions; gentle cycle with mild detergent followed by drying it on low and delicate without any fabric softener until it was just slightly damp but not wet. And what do you know, there's a tear at the seam a few inches long on one of the sleeves. I had loved this jacket and reccomended it everyone I knew who was in a rush to buy a quality jacket for the season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket - Not the best for Petites I wanted to love this jacket. The ability to choose between multiple layers seamlessly is a great option. I loved the color and the ski features it has. I'm about 5'4 and 105 lbs, and this jacket was too large and long on me. The tail in the back reached between my knees and hips. I had to return it. I would recommend it for someone taller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NO buyer's remorse here! I'm a bit confused with some of the negative reviews left previously. For one; when I'm spending a good bit of cash on a piece of gear that I will be depending on in the backcountry for weeks, I do my research. For two; this item does exactly what it's intended and described as doing. I've owned other shells from other competitors that come nowhere near the multipurpose use of the Clementine, actually as warm and protective as advertised and that I can use without worrying I'm going to tear a fragile shell. Disregard the negatives below, it's obvious these consumers are not educated consumers and are faulting the product instead of their ignorance of its use. My personal cons regarding the Clementine are few and miniscule in the grand scheme. Love the cinch on the hood, hate velcro. The back drop hem is great for extra core warmth and bun protection if sitting, while keeping it from riding up. I bought a soft shell w/o and hate it! *my pit zip catches on the right side every time. I'm concerned that eventually it will wear out that bit of fabric and compromise its integrity all together. Meaning I may have to deal with a warranty claim. *the zipper holds are TINY (They are nice, strong YKK, I think the main is a #5 and the rest are #3) the #3s are hard to catch with my gloves on. Even just my liners which are made for dexterity. I couldn't imagine trying with my mitts or shells. Which means that these may be inaccessible to me while moving, or time consuming to use. This may not sound like a lot, but winter hours are short and I'm not one to stop and even take a photo. *an inside pocket (both liner and shell) that zipped would have been nice. I keep my electronics and batteries close to my core to keep the cold from seeping them and this may prove to be an issue. I compared online and in store to dozens of others and feel like I found a true winner here. If you're looking for street style, go to the mall. For warmth, protection and some style= THIS!
