Haven't Use This Kit

I haven't used this kit and hope I will never need it . I travel to fairly remote places so have this in case my Therma rest leaks.

Blah

The cover patches are so bad, almost impossible to peal of without damaging them. Imagen doing it at night in the forest, absolutely horrible.

May Be Redundant

A collection of patches for repairing your leaky sleeping pad in the field. Please note that many pads now come with a repair patch and this repair kit may only be useful for long-distance or thru-hikers who may need more than 1 patch.

Bicycle Tube Repair In A Pinch

I got a flat tire on my bicycle and didn't have any spare tubes or bicycle tube patch kits, so I decided to give the field repair kit a try. It held for about 40 min on a road tube at 60-70 psi, then began to leak. It would probably hold longer at lower pressure but isn't a good permanent fix. If it's all you have, it might get you home though! It also probably would work better on a lower pressure tube, like a mountain bike or gravel bike, but I have not tried this.

Glue Spots Unable To "Smear" Out

I had 3 small punctures from something very sharp. The punctures are 3-6mm long. Bought the "Instant field repair kit" and applied as instructed but it didn't feel right with the glue spots, they were quite hard and I wasn't able to "smear" them out, needed to use 5 glue spots and 3 patches for the holes. seems airtight but didn't had the time to test before going out again for 8 nights. Bought another Thermarest Neoiar Topo Luxe just to be sure to get the sleep during our exercise. I might have done something wrong with the repair kit but read it again after coming home.

Reliability In A Patch Kit

This is the best patch kit for thermarest pads. I've also used it on drybags and jackets. Easy to use and carry and works every time.

The mondoking XL is a great pad! Works great for car camping. I spent a month on it after surgery and it was life saver.

I used this hiking the Laurel Highlands Trail in western PA. It is a good product.

2700 Mi Two Patches Thermos Neo Air Short

I was in the Smoky mountains on the Appalachian Trail made the very stupid decision to carry my pad through an area with thorns. Long story short it popped. Went into Gatlinburg put the pad in a bathtub found the hole pretty quickly and was able to patch it. Still have that patch on this pad today 3 years later. I need a air 3/4 pad is still going strong
