Flush Rail Rack System

This is my fourth Thule square rack system. My first was purchased in 1995. The current rack system still fits the bike carriers and kayak carriers I have from the previous iterations. The flush system has some advantages over the last system we had for a flat roof CRV. The brackets screw into preset holes in the rack, so no measurements are needed. And the width adjusts automatically on this foot. The only drawback is the torque wrench on this foot is quite stiff at 4nm. My wife has a hard time getting it to tighten fully. Including a cheater bar or other way to generate leverage would be nice.

Allows Me To Keep Using All Of My Thule Carriers

The karma gods blessed me with a chance to get my dream car, a Porsche Macan. This has flush rails so my old Thule feet wouldn't work. The familiar square bars work great with my ski and bike carriers, and these feet grip the flush rails solidly. Porsche recomends their own model with a tiny bump to engage the hole in the roof rails. Needless to say that costs a lot more than this system did. I'll not be driving 150 mph on the autobahn anytime soon and if I do, I'll put my skis inside the car.

Thule's Quality Once Again!

I recently purchased & installed an Evo Flush Rail and SquareBar rack my 2018 Buick Regal TourX. The fit of the rack on the roof rails is superb! To address the issue of wind noise from the milled slot in the SquareBars I installed short pieces of clear vinyl tubing (5/8" ID x 3/4" OD) into the milled slots. The howling sound when driving at speed has been addressed.
