Used this rack to pick up 2 kayaks and the 2nd one that was not on the J-rack was able to roll since the straps that wrap up and under the cross bar do not have an upright in the middle of it to prevent the straps from sliding across the bar ultimately allowing the kayak to rotate from being on its side to sitting upright. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for 2 Kayaks

Sleek And Gets The Job Done

No loud noises while on the highway. One downside: the strap keeper is flimsy as it broke during an initial incorrect attempt to install. However, the strap keeper is only a convenience but not having it doesn’t affect the performance of the product. Also, if carrying a second kayak I recommend getting foam blocks to avoid excessive rubbing on the roof rack itself.

Excellent Kayak Rack

Easy to install, and easy to use with 1 or 2 kayaks on top. Makes traveling with my Kayak extremely easy. Well Made Product
This is a really nice sturdy Kayak carrier. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the documentation. The pictures are not 100% clear and I was unable to find any official videos showing me how to tie the ropes down correctly. The main straps are fairly easy to figure out, but the front and rear straps were very confusing. After a couple of hours and a test drive, I was confident that is mounted and sturdy but I would rather know with confidence that it is set up correctly.

Fantastic
We bought two sets of this rack and the locking set. Really happy with this. Has a nice solid feel. I do wish the flip-up piece was more solid - love that it has the rubber to cushion the kayak, but the piece itself feels like it's a thinner plastic material. The other reviews i've seen online don't mention any issue so I only docked this 1 star because that part feels cheap for the price you pay.

Works So Well I Bought A Second
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these in May and it's fantastic. You can load one kayak or use it like a stacker and load 2. I was using it to load two 10' kayaks on my rav4 but I'm roughly smurf height so it is tricky to use the stacker position solo (my son is 10 and I may have accidentally dropped his kayak on him when trying to load them with another rack. He's still afraid to stand too close when I'm loading them so it means it's just me). That said, I've loaded them both on the Hull-a-Port XT for trips over 100 miles on the highway several times and they stay put perfectly. Now that I have two racks I can load our kayaks much faster solo. If we wanted to bring a friend with her own kayak we can use one in the cradle positron and one rack in the stacker position and bring 3 kayaks on our roof. Options are great.

Good Kayak Carrier But...
Good kayak carrier that leaves a lot of room to load other boats on your rack but the locks that I bought separate wiggle around and would be pretty easy to pop off with a screw driver.

Installed minutes to aero bars on transit connect. Extremely quiet when folded flat, even at 80 mph. Experienced only a 0.02 mpg decrease flat. They’re never coming off!
