This is truly the best backpack I've ever owned, in every respect. It feels incredibly durable, and has some nice structure to it. And the setup of the compartments is just awesome. There are 3 different ways to access the main compartment, and then there are tons of small storage options throughout. I'm considering buying a second one, because I'm worried that they could discontinue it by the time my current one wears out. Whoever designed this thing deserves an award.

I've had the bag for about a month now. I use it mostly for work. Easily carries all of my essentials and my laptop. It's comfortable and sturdy. I would definitely recommend.

So far my husband loves this bag. Lots of pockets for traveling and laptop use. Fingers crossed it last a long time.

I bought this as a backpack that could hold a decent amount of items for travel, but is not a "travel" backpack that is designed to carry a ton of clothing or shoes. I originally bought the Nutria color thinking it was caramel-khaki like you see in work wear. It's actually an ugly green yellow that is not attractive at all. The product photography does not match at all. I'd avoid that color completely and purchase black because it is unclear what color the green would be. The pockets are well thought out and I think the way to access to main compartment is really clever. The main compartment is a large open compartment with 3 folio like sleeves attached to the back of the bag. You could fit two laptops and a tablet into these sleeves and they are accessible through the zipper on the back or by flipping the the top back and unzipping the compartment there. The main compartment is accessible from one side through a side opening zipper that reminded me of photography backpacks. The other side was a long storage compartment with several stash pockets and a zippered compartment, which was surprising and really well thought through! The top zippered compartment on the top flap was smaller than I expected and would really function more as a quick stash spot for a phone when going through security than a long term storage location. The sunglasses holder is really just for a pair of sunglasses without a case so not ideal in my opinion. There is a simple front pouch that went the full length of the front.

Able to pack almost anything you need to be productive in any locale. Sturdy, spacious and utilitarian. Hard to imagine any improvements to this design.

I have had Thule bags for 14 years now, along with bags by Cotopaxi, Osprey, etc. This is the best day to day bag I have found. Organization is next level, and the support makes a bag full of MacBook Pro 15, books, chargers, snacks, etc etc feel light. Bonus is that it’s way more stylish than older versions.

Two work trips and the center strap buckle is broken.

I really wanted to love this backpack. The material was great, the zippers were sturdy, and it had SO MANY POCKETS. That being said, I have three notes. Note number one was IT DIDN’T FIT ME. I’m 5’2”, and the bag hung uncomfortably low on my back. To compensate, I had to tighten the straps so much that they dug into my neck (I’ve never had this happen before?). After carrying it around fully weighted for a day I had terrible neck and back pain. I haven’t encountered this issue before. When my partner tried it on, it fit him perfectly! He said that it was super comfortable. So if you’re above 5’9” my review doesn’t apply to you at all! Note 2 was that I wish it had two water bottle pockets. I really enjoy bringing a hot drink and my water bottle with me. This is more a plea to the product designers, please, bring back the two water bottle holders. Note 3 was that the clasp and top zippers were challenging to open and close. That’s it. Those were my only notes and I am ridiculously picky when it comes to backpacks. I wanted to love this bag, and would have kept it if it had fit my torso. If you’re taller and looking for a stylish commuter with lots of organization, this might be your bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This backpack is so nice! My husband will be using this for spotting equipment at the race track! He was very excited and very impressed with the quality! There are so many pockets to organize. It feels very study and well built. We love the green color too!! Overall, a 10/10!!

I’ve just purchased the first of what will certainly be multiple Thule backpacks. I am beginning a new job and needed a backpack that will look professional when I have meetings following travel. This bag is beautifully organized with direct access to my computer as well as plenty of pockets for all the other work & travel necessities. The exterior is thick, the bottom is reinforced and the bag fits comfortably and doesn’t make my back sweat, On a day off I went for a couple hour hike and took the bag with me and was happy everything inside stayed dry. My only concern is that for longer trips I will probably need more room, That’s OK, I’ll get something a bit bigger too. In total I’ve used the bag on three trips so far and each time people asked about the bag because they didn’t know Thule made bags or just to compliment the look.

This is my second Thule backpack. I absolutely love them. This is the new Paramount and it is great. Plenty of room for laptop, ipad, and other stuff I use daily. I travel 3/4 weeks a month with over 130 flights a year and this bag is perfect for traveling. Two minor things, the front clasp takes a bit to break in and can become tough to open or close. Second, the side water bottle holder is so large than sometimes the water bottles slip out. 10/10 would buy again.

If you’ve ever had the original Paramount 27 than you already know what a great bag that is. This one is an improvement on the original in every way possible. I had my doubts about the latch mechanism and the removal of the side laptop access but after a few weeks of daily use I can say I do not miss the side access at all. The latch mech was a strange choice at first but with the bag fully packed out and needing room for a towel or jacket I found the latch mech a useful addition. I would have loved to see a more mechanical mechanism to already compliment the rugged feel and appearance of this bag, something akin to the peak designs buckle or similar. But for what it is, it’s efficient and adds no additional weight. The new top access laptop zipper is perfect, it stretches just wide enough to get to other items in the triple sorting pouches. Everything g has its place and I can’t wait to get my Thule rainy for those downpour encounters. Great bag, rarely do companies improve this much on their already stellar products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Thule backpack is made of very sturdy material. It is high-quality fabric, and the stitching and zippers on. It are very well constructed. My daughter claimed it immediately for using this school year. She loves that the inside pocket is deep and wide enough that she can fit her entire chrome book case in it, as well as many folders and pencil cases. It has numerous side zippers for holding things like water, bottles or anything else. You can cram in there. The straps are very sturdy and she says they are very comfortable on her shoulders and can support a lot of weight within the backpack. This will also make a great backpack when we travel that we can stuff full of things as a carry-on, and to the airplane.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a terrific backpack. Has a special padded area for your laptop and even has a sturdy handle on the side if you want to carry the bag like a briefcase. Plenty of pockets and clasps to keep everything safe. And super comfortable. My husband tried it out and said the straps are super padded and don’t dig in at all and you can even clasp the straps together in front of you or when the backpack is off so that you do t trip on them. This is not your typical backpack or book bag. This is really awesome.
