Easy clip in install. We have 2 x 24" bikes for the kids and they fit great.

As others have mentioned, this adapter is not ideal for 20" wheels. The fork does get forced against the basket when you try to strap down the back wheel. However, I found a workaround for this by adding some cushion to the basket where the forks hit it. I simply zip-tied an old rag around this area with enough bulk to prevent any damage to the basket or my child's bike. I just left this zip tied on until my child was ready to upgrade to a larger bike. Yes it looks a bit ugly, but it solves the issue temporarily until they upgrade and can use the rack like normal. So for those who are wondering about this, you can absolutely make this rack work with 20" wheels and the adapter, it just take a bit of creative padding to make it successful. For the short time that kids are in smaller bikes, to me this is not a huge issue. Then once they upgrade to larger wheel sizes everything works great. This is an amazing rack over all and we have been very please with it and the adapter.

I was skeptical at first to purchase these for my kids bikes (2-26" and 24") until I borrowed one from a friend. This adapter works for 24" and 26" (a bit snug) wheels. There is too much area for the wheels to move forward and back without the adapter which is why I chose to purchase 3. I would recommend to anyone!

The adapter causes contact between the bike fork and the wheel basket on 20-inch bikes, resulting in scratches on both the bike and the bike carrier. I tested the adapter with the Thule logo facing both upwards and downwards, but neither orientation resolved the issue.

Doesn't fit without rubbing. This was just lazy and Thule has had plenty of time to configure a better product.

I have a 20" bike with 35" wheel base and it still doesn't work. You've had months now to make a better adapter. Thule needs to create a 2 adapter system and make something a bit better. I know most companies are looking to make an 75% margin on accessories but maybe take 50% and make something better.

Clearly doesn't fit a 20 inch bike. The frame touches a lot and get forced against the basket. Our 24 fits good with it.

Didnt even come close to making a 20" tire bike fit, the head tube hits the hoop, the frame hits the hoop. I did manage to use two of these in the same hoop and build an aluminum piece for the lower tire to rest further out away from the bottom bar, this was the only way to get my daughter's Scott Contessa. Notice that Thule only shows Autocad drawings of the bike fitting, not a real picture. The disappointing part is carrying a 20" tire bike is possible if they put the care into proper design.

Bought the rack and it's great for regular mountain bikes but even with the kids adapter it won't work with my daughter's 20" bike. Her tire spacing is 36" from the middle of the front wheel to the middle of back wheel. Very disappointing, I purchased the rack because I was under the impression I could haul all of our bikes, including a kid's bike. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

After installing I don't understand how this could possibly work with a 20 inch bike wheel I've tried multiple configurations Wheels turned in both directions and while I can get it to balance in the correct location the slightest movement knocks it out of place and would cause major damage to the bike. The price is already absurd and then to have it not work is a major disappointment this is also one of the main reasons I chose to buy this bike rack over other options

Similar to the other reviewer, this adapter didn't work with our kids bikes. The main tire frame of the bike rack makes contact with the bike frame and fork and that's well before the rear tire makes contact with the attachment point for the lower tires. Really like the bike rack if it would work with our bikes. I think it will take a different upper tire mount design rather than a simple adapter to correct the issue.

I bought this for my new Revert 4 to haul my kids 20" mountain bike and it doesn't work at all (unless you're ok with major damage to the bike). The fork leg comes into direct contact with the wheel hoop. It doesn't just barely touch on occasion as you hit a bump in the road, it's smashed against the metal. I also tried with two other 20" wheeled bikes (one without a suspension fork) and all had major bike/wheel hoop contact. Further, the wheel is much smaller than the hoop so it's able to move rather freely even when cinched down with the rubber wheels straps. If I were actually able to use this and hit a large bump I'm almost certain the tire would hop off the ledge of the adapter, which could be pretty catastrophic. Finally, the rear wheel strap of the revert doesn't see very secure with such a short wheelbase bike (and my kids MTB has a very long wheelbase for a 20" bike). If you have a non suspension 20" wheel bike, there's a good chance the rear wheel won't even reach the crossbar where it's supposed to rest. I'd really like to know which bikes Thule used to test this as I can't understand how it would work with any 20" wheel bike on the market. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed as the main reason I bought the Revert was to carry 20" and adult mountain bikes. All in all, I don't recommend you buy the Revert if you hope to carry 20" wheeled bikes (because you won't be able to without major bike damage).

I just received my 2 adapters, one each for 20 & 24" bikes and was looking forward to our first adventure with 4 bikes on the rack. this excitement quickly faded when I found that despite correctly installing the adapter which does hold the wheel in place, the 20" std kids bike (cannondale quick 20) does not fit. the rack "basket" is too deep meaning the fork will hit the rack once the bike angles down to get the bottom wheel close to its connection point. this would be fixed if thule created a shorter/shallower basket. the fork is 10" from the center of the 20" wheel and the distance across the basket along the angle the wheel sits is more than this meaning there is going to be interference with the fork. please create a fix for this issue as the revert is really awesome otherwise. the adapter worked fine for a 24" bike but it also seemed as if it was not completely necessary for this particular bike. considering it is designed for 20 and 24" bikes and the 24 didn't seem necessary and the 20 didn't work, i can't recommend this product.
