I just purchased the product and finished installing the system on my vehicle. From the get-go, the quality was there, and the ease of use to install is great. Clear step-by-step with numbers/letters to confirm orientation for install. Installed on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L with ease. Installed with WingBar EVO 711220, Evo Flush Rail 710601 and KIT186120. *** WingBar EVO 118 CM on the small side ***
I had purchased Aero-blades for my previous car and was pretty happy with the flexibility they provided. When I got my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland last summer, I bought flush mounts and this kit so I could use the blades with it. Installation was easy and yes, there is a small gap as others have pointed out, but since the roof rails on the Jeep are cosmetic only, this kit provides a strong mount point for the roof racks. I leave this kit installed on my Jeep which allows me to easily install and remove the roof rack when needed. Driving with the roof racks off, I haven’t noticed any additional wind noise since installing this kit which I am very pleased about.

The kit to fit the roof rack in the new Jeep GC L model works fine, but it sits too high off the top of the Jeep. A lower profile would be appreciated as adding things like a ski rack are impossible with most garage door openings. Given the primary purpose is to attach a roof box for long trips, it is fine for now, but it would be nice to be able to add a ski rack next ski season. I’m addition, from a security standpoint, the rack can be easily removed from the roof even when locked given the bolts that attach the fit kit are not covered and left unsecured. Please consider changing the design to be lower profile and more secure.

Like all others said there is a substantial gap. I understand Thules response about the actual mounting location being in the center and not on the bar but there is ZERO reason why they couldn't properly fit and cut the rubber peds so they sit decently flush with the rail and around the metal loaded attachment. Please redesign these and issue a replacement for folks that have paid good money for your products.

These mounts do not fit regardless of what Thule claims. It is a poor design and even a Thule Certified seller and dealer warned against these saying they have not hand any success in installing these and will no longer carry/order for customers. Really disappointed.

As the other reviewer said, this floats above the rail by almost 1/4” - looks terrible.

Just installed after waiting forever for this fit kit to get made/be in stock. It floats above the rail. A few Jeep forums I am in said theirs also floated above the rail. Hoping Thule is planning on fixing this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fit kit, each model is design for a specific vehicle or set of vehicles. I purchased the Kit 1340 to fit my new 09 Legacy. The product does what it needs to and fits quite well.. a few unexpected gaps (since the rubber is formed specific to the roof) but nothing to worry about. I will warn anyone with the 1340 fit kit... It is designed for certain Subaru models and is highly specific because these models are vehicles that do not have framing around the windows (rather uncommon). Thule fit kits typically clamp right to the metal roof where the doors close. This kit, however, clamps to the plastic trim where the doors close (since there is no frame). Structurally a this is okay because plastic is reinforced to the vehicle frame, but I point this out because the clamping of the roof racks to the car will cause some indentation in this plastic trim where the metal plastic rests and is tightened. I noticed this only after a test fit, and haven't fully utilized the racks yet to know if it gets worse, but it's something to note if you really care about pristine appearance of this trim when you remove the racks. Otherwise, functions great and have confidence in knowing you are using a product specifically built for your car.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Traverse Fit Kit about 2 weeks ago. I installed it yesterday and I am very pleased with the fit on my vehicle. I am even more pleased that there was not drilling into the cab of my truck. The quality of the Thule system is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced fit kit for my Thule bars with this 1745 kit for Sierra 1500. Easy to install, all parts fit without issue. The only thing I did not like is the brackets go behind the door gaskets for this truck model.
