Best Mtb Rack Ever

This is the best bike rack I’ve ever used. Setup took less than 20 minutes to have the rack on my hitch, and it was seamless. The design of the lock and tightening mechanism is amazing, and causes the rack to be completely silent. I just did a 4000km road trip across the country with both my carbon 29er mountain bikes on the back. I was nervous and checking my mirrors every 30 seconds the whole trip, and they did not budge once. Not only that but there was no rubbing damage or anything. I wasted my time with a North Shore rack before this. I wish I had just pulled the trigger on this one sooner. Do yourself a favour and get this rack.

Incredible Rack With One Shortcoming

We transport a pair of high-end mountain bikes along with a pretty meaty eBike and this rack seemed like the perfect solution. The hitch tightening and locking mechanism is awesome, and bikes feel very stable and secure on the rack. My only grip, and it's kinda a big one is that Thule says this rack can handle tires up to 5", which for the tire cradle at the front is true, but the ratchet strap at the back is WAY TOO SHORT to get around a 5" tire. I ended up having to use a set of heavy-duty zip-ties to move the bike the first time, which obviously isn't an ideal solution. Thule needs to either include a longer strap set OR an extension that can be added for larger tires. I don't know how I'm going to solve this, but I'm guessing I'm going to have to dig through my box of old snowboard binding parts to see if I can find something to retro-fit. Please fix this Thule, this is otherwise an awesome rack.

This is a great product, so sturdy and easy to use, it takes no time to secure the bikes on there and nothing is wobbly or feels un-safe. My only complain is the "instruction manual" that I thought was really tough and confusing when it came to putting the carrier together and installing it: pictures only, no words. I ended up finding a YouTube video and that did the trick.

Excellent Design

It has been a little over a month since the purchase of the T2 Pro XTR and I could not be happier.

Love This Bike Rack.

We bought this rack a couple of weeks ago. We wanted to replace our old rack that required the bikes hang. It never felt safe. This platform rack is great. It is not super heavy and attaches easy enough. We watched a YouTube video to put the rack together-it was concise and easier to follow than the written instructions provided. . The rack was very stable on our first trip with it-about a 6 hr drive round trip. It did take two of us to load the bikes. My only negative comment would be that it is very stiff when changing positions from upright to folded in. That may glide easier with time.

Great Rack… Remove It After Use!

I love this rack…. It’s heavy and awkward to install, but once it is, life is good. I’m a professional mountain guide, and when I’m not transporting a bike it is also great to help organize gear. HOWEVER, don’t leave it on for longer than a month or two! (I did this because, see my first line) now, I cannot remove it. The locking mechanism has seized, in the 2” receiver, and I am trying to sell my car. When it’s functioning, I rate this 5+ stars… right now… it is 0 stars. If you get this rack, prepare to remove it frequently…

Good quality easy to install, user friendly and the bike feel super safe. Cable lock a little short tho.

Expensive But Great

Good Solid Rack

The rack is good and solid. The two wheels help moving to the vehicle. My only issue is how you lock the bikes. The cable is very short and there is alot of strain at the cable clamp connection. If the cable was attached to the side of the clamp the strain would be much less. The key does not thecclamp arm like it did on previous models. Better locking would make it a 5 rating.

Awesome Rack. Took 20 Min To Assemble.

This is now replacing my Thule 3 bike rack. Had to upgrade bc of the weight on e bikes. Easy on Easy off, love it, worth the $$$$

Great Bike Carrier

I purchased this to move bikes around for my son and I. The design is simple and fantastic! I have used it for local transport as well as for trails hundreds of miles away. Extremely easy to operate and incredibly secure.

Great Hitch Rack

Works great. Securely carries two full suspension mountain bikes. Assembly was easy.
