Rated 5 out of 5 by from size I am a woman who wears a size 5. I found these in youth and contacted Timberland to see what size I would wear. They told me 3.5, but since I am planning to wear homemade boot socks, I ordered a 4. We were both right. If you wear a 5 the 3.5 will fit without socks, but you will need the 4 if you are planning to wear a heavy sock. I am so lucky that the purchased turned out well. Will enjoy walking my husky in these great boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from okay boots I bought these for myself in the store because they did not have any women's hiking boots of a similar style. I wear these to work, 8hrs a day, all weather conditions. They are waterproof and did what I needed them to do. However, I have had them about 4 months now and they are starting to fall apart. The inner lining has torn and the sole is starting to come away from the rest of shoe. They are also no longer waterproof. I'm a little disappointed. I feel the youth sizes are not made of the same quality as the adult sizes. My last pair of Timberland's (women's size) lasted me a year before I replaced them with these. Will have to find another pair of boots to replace these soon after only 4 months of wear! I'm sure these boots are great for kids who aren't walking 5 miles a day in them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds up very well. I am a woman and wanted a boot that wouldn't fall apart after a month's use. I have worn these practically every day for over 6 months. I work outside and these boots have been through all different types of terrain from mud to harsh trails. I use these to hike as well. These boots are still in great condition and are comfortable. They don't hold up too well in snow but that's because of lack of insulation, and considering they are not snow boots I'm not disappointed. I had a size 6 and the boot is mostly rubber. Great product! I will definitely look here for a winter boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to breakin and comfortable. I bought my 10 yr old a pair the day before our 6 mi hike at Meadow Pond Trail in Peterborough, NH. He was comfortable and didn't have any problem breaking in the boots. It was his 1st waterproof hiking boot so he was loving it not having to avoid wet mud on the trail.Size seems to run large, we got him a 5.5 boot, he usually wear 6.0 (under armor) sneakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch hiking boots! My dainty little wife found this bargain thanks to the help of young Mr. Phelps at your Alabaster, AL store. He worked very hard to find a hiking shoe that would fit my wife's size 6 foot and also found her a bargain in reduced price hiking socks. My wife had tried both Belk and Kohls for a small size hiking boot for our trip to the National Parks out West, but to no avail. The same was true regarding heavy hiking socks that would wick moisture from her feet. Hooray for Dick's having a dedicated young salesman like Mr. Phelps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst pair of boots I've ever owned Where do I even start? I consider myself an experienced hiker, I've done week-long treks and countless one-day trips. I bought these shoes for a 7-hour hike because I'd forgotten my hiking boots at home. I knew they were made for kids, but this was the only pair that fit me in the store. While the weather at the hike was just perfect (no rain and around 60 degrees), I felt my feet getting wet after walking for only about 2 hours. At the end of the hike, the area around my toes was soaked with sweat, which had never happened to me before with any pair of shoes. The Timberdry membrane promises to be waterproof and breathable, but they're definitely not breathable! To make matters even worse, for the first time in my life, I ended up with Athlete's foot. Thanks for nothing, Timberland. Oh, and don't even get me started on their returns policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boy Scout Reliable Our son wore all weekend for a Boy Scout campout this last weekend without having to break these in. He said they were comfortable and waterproof and warm for the low 40's temps. He didn't take them off all weekend! Hope they hold up just as well as they fit and are so far loved.
