Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20 years of hard use. Looking for new pair now. I've had my pair for 20 years. they have made it through 3 CT winters and literally around the world. (Russia, India, Egypt, Norway Sweden, Iceland, China, Australia) just to name a few. As you can see they have been worn through every type of environment and the only reasons I'm looking to get a new pair is that the sole is starting to pull away, which I will fix but there is a new version. If they last as long as the first pair this may be the last pair I need. Cross my fingers i can find them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheapened down the new pair no longer has the gortex lining. what is there now is more like 200 grit sand paper. cheap nylon mesh. would not recommend anymore

Rated 3 out of 5 by from These boots will meet all you’re expectations - but they wont last I bought these boots a year ago. They stand above the competition in style, comfort and functionality. In these areas the boots get five stars. The problem is, that after only a year of average use, they have worn out. The soles are worn flat (in most spots) and the glue is coming off that holds the soles in place. Bottom line is, they are really awesome comfortable boots that function well in extreme conditions. But they just weren’t built to last. IMO - They are a bit pricey for their relatively short life span.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband loves these boots Bought this for my husband who has foot problems and could not find a boot in his size (12 W) which was comfortable and a good fit. Took a chance, ordered them and he loves them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wear Out Quickly I have purchased 2 of these boots. The first time I put them on they were so comfortable I did not want to take them off. Wore out the first pair and bought another pair. Have them about worn out. They last a year. The rubber on the toe comes unglued and the sole on the side comes unglued. The tread wears out; gets thin and I can feel rocks through the sole. Will have to find another brand more durable. I live in the New Mexico mountains where there are rocks and pine needles and wear them every day. I glue the rubber toes back on a couple of times but it doesn't last. Wish they could make them more durable. For the price they should last several years, not just one.
