Rated 4 out of 5 by from Things seem good 2 weeks in. These boots are extremely comfortable. And I have received many compliments on the 3 days that I've worn them. However, I have smaller feet and typically wear a 7.5 or an 8 and these 7's are slightly too big. It's a COMMON complaint with these boots and I don't understand why it was hard for Timberland to just make them true to size. If they had they would have made them in a size that I could wear PERFECTLY. It's easier for bigger guys to just buy a smaller size after the hassle of returning but it just phased me out completely and isn't the point to provide a product that's meeting the consumer's needs? And especially at the $180 price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sending these back Boots look great, and feel wonderful. I was happy that they were made from environmentally conscious materials, and were on sale. I was happy until the first time I got the soles wet, as these boots have NO TRACTION. I've slipped on surfaces ranging from tile to asphalt with water on my soles. The only shoes I have with comparable traction issues are my old style basketball shoes. How does a company known for making amazing boots produce a model that has worse traction than dress shoes? I will be returning these boots. I'm very disappointed with my first pair of Timberland shoes. I do not know if I will be purchasing another Timberland product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tear after 4 months This boot is perfect for walking in ideal weather conditions (sunny, warm and dry), that's about all it can do. If you push these boots beyond that then irregular wear and tear will surface along the soles and where the stitching meets especially near the base of the shoe. I live in Canada and after four months I noticed centimeter tear along the upper forefoot stitching on the right boot then along the left 2 weeks after. For $180 you could probably find a more durable but far less fashionable boot. I wouldn't REC this to friends because all my friends are pretty hard on their footwear and based on what I put these through $180 is a hard sell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am done with this brand. I had a horrible experience with Timberland. I have been buying boots for about 8 years now from you guys, but after this experience I am done. I ordered this boot for my dad's birthday and it arrived all scuffed and scratched. I had to return it and buy it again, and I thought I would give it to him on father's day. The second pair came in also scuffed and scratched as if it had been worn. I failed to give my father a gift on his birthday and father's day in a timely manner. It is so frustrating that it happened twice in a row to a brand I really trusted. I will be returning the shoes to a local Timberland store and finding a new brand for boots. Thank you anyways.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my new boots Classic look with modern finish and style and environmental soul. I love my new boots color is great and easy to match to jeans to dockers changing the versatility from winter boot and jeans to office wear with a classic modern work boot look . The quality of the boot is great from the color and leather treatment and craftsmanship of the stitching. The best part is the boots are comfortable to wear the souls are strong but flexible for day to day use. I also like that the earthkeepers line come from an environmentally friendly concept of recycled materials. Boot does run a little big in size so be sure to size accordingly .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good look, bad quality Yes, this boots look great. I liked them a lot through the first months I had them. But after a year and a half, they are totally worn out. Stitches in several parts of the boots are worn out and the unions between the leather and the sole are already torn in different spots. And this is not from tough outdoor usage, just from normal urban usage. Of course, consumer service at Timberland told me "there's nothing we can do" when I called asking about it. Bottom line, now I know I should shop Timberland for style, not for quality and durability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchase with caution This boot just isn't durable. It's a very rugged stylish boot, but outside of its good appearance, the boot isn't durable at all. I've have these boots for about 16 months now, there's now a hole in the bottom of the shoe, and the bottom rubber is begging to separate. I bought them for work (I do a bit of walking around construction sites) and hoped they'd be durable walking on rocky terrain, but no luck. Timberland isn't as durable as they advertise. I have 2 other pairs of classic tims (1 is 2yrs old, the other is about 4yrs old) that separated at the bottom as well. Buy for style but not for work....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fashionable, but quick to wear out Wore these boots for everyday use for a year before having to retire them. They're super comfortable and look GREAT with jeans -- at first. A few months in I could tell the rubber sole was compressing from use, and the upper was widening to accomodate my wide foot. The upper does not hold structure well (it's soft leather, after all) and the result looked more like flippers than sturdy boots. I ended up wearing them on a hike up Mt Washington, which turned out to be their last use, as the sole on one foot started peeling away. I replaced them with a pair of LL Bean Katahdin Iron Works Engineer boots and can tell they will last me much longer than the Earthkeepers. I'd recommend these boots with the caveat that regular, everyday use will wear them out rather quickly (in my opinion) for a $180 boot.
