Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two bad experiences Bought my first pair and was very happy with the boot but after three weeks the fabric on the inside for the heel ripped apart completley into the composite material, after getting them exchanged and receiving the newer version with the added hook between the second and third lace, the stitching for where the tongue meets the boots were done so poorley that it had started to dig right into my ankle leaving me very uncomfortable and very sore and to top it off because they added that extra hook they did not increase the length of the laces to compinsate for the extra distance you use with the hook. They are a great boot but you got a fifty/fifty chance of getting a good pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eyelet problems within weeks. 3rd pair. Won't buy again. I like the fit of these boots and that I can wear them through the airport TSA pre-check metal detector (my previous safety-toe boots would set off the metal detector and I would have to take them off. However, the plastic eyelets fail within weeks (yes weeks). The first time I thought it was a fluke and sent it back to Timberland for a warranty replacement. Then it happened again. This third pair lasted exactly 10 days before an eyelet failed. I'm done. Even though Timberland warranties them and sends brand new replacements, it costs me $25 to ship them back, and it takes 4+ weeks to get the replacement. Not worth it. Trying something else. Check out reviews other places... this is a very common problem with these boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plastic Eyelets Not Holding Up The eyelets for the laces on my first pair separated within the first year of wearing these. Timberland Customer Service was very good and I received a second set at no cost. 8 months later they are doing the same thing. Different eyelets on both boots are separating from the leather. I have a different set of Tim. Pro's in brown with metal eyelets that are older and have had no issues. These are the most comfortable boots I have owned for long term use on concrete flooring. Sizing always seems big and I have to order a whole size smaller than normal. I have contacted Timberland again to see how much they will stand behind their product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great boots...... These are a second set of the style boot a have purchased for work. Normally lasting about 2 years in harsh work conditions. Both having the same issues. I bought the second set figuring that timberland had fixed the issues with them. My issues with booth pairs of boots as been the plastic pieces where the laces go thru keep on coming off. The first pair was about after 14 months of use, the new set was after 3days of use. Not very happy with them. Called timberland and they said to return where I got hem from. No way to do business. Unless they fix this set of boots I wont be returning for more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the comfort, hate the sole durability These are by far the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn. I work on concrete floors 10 hours a day. There is no break in time, comfort right out of the box. The first pair I bought lasted about a year till the soles cracked right where you bend your foot. The second pair the same thing. The third, didn't last 6 months till they did the same. I haven't purchased another pair of Timerland boots since. It's really too bad Timberland won't correct this problem. They're great boots, but I will not waste $$ on them anymore.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from save your hard earned money This is my second and last pair of Timberlands. I stand on my feet for 8+ hours a day, so I can say that they are very comfortable, but unfortunately that's where it ends. These boots do not breath well at all, my feet sweat a lot in them. At 3 1/2 months old, all the eyelets are falling out and the heel is starting to separate. My first pair made it 1 year before requiring replacement for the same reasons. Prior to purchasing Timberland, I had a pair of Red Wings which lasted 4 1/2 years before I had to replace them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been buying this product for years the same boot I wore my boots mainly to work this is the kind of boot that I have been buying for the past five years only thing that I think it needs is a little more arch support because I am flat footed the overall it is a great but I am very picky about what I wear right now I own two brand-new pairs of boots the sack same kind and plus where the shoestrings thread through the boot of the eyes they are plastic and that is what I like not the metal ones because they rub mine ankles and I get knots on my ankles as long As you continue using the plastic as I will continue buying this boot..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from eyelet came apart with 2 weeks of wear I usually buy a new pair of alloy toe titan boots every year. I decided to buy the composite to save a little weight. the boot is just as comfortable as the alloys the problem is I have worn these at work for about 2 weeks and one of the plastic eyelets has already broken. I wouldn't recommend this model hopefully this isn't a sign of lowering qc standards.
