Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ship Approved! Bought these boots over a year and a half ago. When I started working on a ship as the Cargo Engineer, they have held up to extreme abuse, we work 7 days per week walking on PRC Non-Skid, Steel Ladderwells and Decks, Steel Grating, etc. The Slip Resistance is decent when treading through a UNREP Stations Diesel Fuel Containments. Worked well in cold climates as well as warm climates. From the Pacific Northwest to the Persian Gulf, these boots have performed. The only things I have had to replace are the insoles, but that's not bad for 7 days/week use. I am going to try the RigMaster next, hopefully they will last just as long or longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hold up in water and concrete I've had this boot for a year. Living in the Pacific NW, you have to have a boot that's going to hold up to rain and mud. This boot fit the bill perfectly. The break-in period took about a week for around my upper ankle. At first I considered taking them back due to comfort issues. I'm glad I didn't because they've turned into the best boot for what I do. I stand in wet concrete, mud and deep water puddles 5 days a week and they haven't given out yet. Totally worth the money. The picture shows my boot after one full year of abuse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go to boot! I've been buying these boots for the past 5 years. I work in construction in New York City and i've tried Carhart, Redwing and a few others. These boots has been my go to boot for the past 5 years. i'm on my 3rd pair. They realistically last about 2 years. But that's 5 to 6 days a week, 8 to 10 hours a day on a NYC construction site! Mud, snow, gravel, sand, dirt.... (you get the idea) all terrains. After buying my 1st pair with the anti-fatigue technology i will never buy another brand, cause there's no need for it! Other boots there was a week or so "break-in" period needed. Not these. Put them on and it's comfortable right away. They look great, and are priced comparatively to other brands. I highly recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boots on the market I've been wearing the pro series boots for many years now for work. Prior to the pros I tried other boots and couldn't find a perfect combination of comfort, durability and the luxury of them being light weight. Timberland has combined all 3. I'm not a fan of steel toe but the alloy toe boots are amazing. I recommend you try these boots if you are in the construction field. As a bridge painter, these boots are perfect for climbing with the non slip soles and again, being so light weight. Timberland pros are the leader in work boots hands down

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Get rid of the plastic This is my second pair of this boot. The triangle eyelet broke within a week on the first pair. They were exchanged no problem. The eyelets started breaking on the second pair within a month. Now the plastic hooks at the top of the boot have popped out. This would be a much better boot if they would get rid of the plastic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a happy Camper... STINKS! I used to always buy the Timberland Pit Boss model Back about 10 years ago. My Employer made me switch to Red Wings a few years ago and I hated the feel of the Red Wings compared to the Timberlands I previously owned. I was extremely excited when I was allowed to pick my brand again and immeaditely went back looking to buying my Timberlands again. I found this model which met the criteria I needed for my job and purchased them. The look and feel of these boots were spot on and I was in heaven. Then things turned bad quickly! While these boots are said to have the anti-microbial odor control, I soon found out that the control must only last 60 days. I have never had an odor problem with my boots in the past, no matter what brand I bought, even Timberland. These boots stunk to high heaven and I can not get the odor under control. It is so bad I can smell them on my feet during work. I had to put these out on my patio and revert back to wearing the last pair I bought which were Carolina Comfort brand. I can not find anything under the warranty for this so I guess I will try to contact Customer Service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I live in these boots. I'm an electrician. Mostly wear these boots on indoors jobs. Some outside jobs. I have worn these boots almost every day for two years. Leather broken nicely. Not a big fan of the metal lace ring it cut one of my laces. I have read many reviews for these boots. Some people were very disappointed. For me they were were a good mix of durability and comfort. Just purchased my second pair. Hopefully this pair holds up as well as the first. Ps applying waterproof spray is a good idea.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great boot for a very short time. My first pair of Timberlands were not steel toe but lasted me for more than two years. As a food service delivery driver, I am hard on boots. After buying my first pair, I loved them and upgraded to steel toes. But after two months of use, the plastic eyelets pulled through the leather, the triangle piece at the top pulled through and the shank started peeling. Although very comfortable, these are NOT a $180 pair of boots. Very disappointed! Will have to call customer service.
