Top Flite 2024 XL 13-Piece Complete Set – Driver lasted exactly 5 rounds. Bought this complete set for my 14-year-old son who’s just getting into golf. The clubs looked decent out of the box, and he was excited to have his own set. Unfortunately, the driver decided it had better things to do after only five uses. We’re talking five rounds. Not five months. Not five seasons. Five times on the course. Today the head basically cracked right along the seam where the white crown meets the metal face. There’s a nice big split that runs almost the entire width of the clubhead now. It still swings, but it sounds and feels like something’s very wrong inside, and I’m not letting him hit with it anymore for safety reasons. For a “complete beginner set” marketed toward new players, I expected the driver to survive more than a handful of swings from a 14-year-old. Apparently that was too much to ask. Everything else in the set seems fine so far, but the fact that the most important club in the bag fell apart this quickly is pretty disappointing. If you’re buying this for a kid or a new golfer, just know the driver might not make it past the “getting started” phase. Would I buy it again? Probably not, unless they start including a “disposable driver” warning label.

Good Starter Set

Bought this for my grandson. He’s way too tall for his old kid set. He loves the look of the clubs. He liked all the pockets on the bag. He’s enthusiastic about the selection of the full set.

Buy A Better Set Or Used Clubs Better To Start Off

I bought this set about a month ago first time golfer no experience what so ever. Didn’t want to splurge on a more expensive set so this was the bet option to start with. But after only 2 times play a 9 hole course and hitting the range once the zipper broke and driver cracked less than a month what a let down should have spent the extra cash or bought a used set better to start off…might have been a defective set who knows…. -_-
