[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've touched many chalks as a boulderer. This one is the softest. It provides a fine coating and is so so smooth. It's affordable and I love the way it feels. I buy it for friends and they are converted, too. The feel is maybe comparable to Midnight Lightning powder chalk. I am in love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mainly bought it to have a container for my chalk, this works well. A ziplock bag might break. The chalk itself is very finely ground if you’re into that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a few of different brands for these soggy nubs. Nothing came close to power of the G'powder: it stays on for a while (did I mention I have very sweaty hands?), it's a good price, and it doesn't leave my skin cracking like a cookie crumble. I prefer it in my chalk pot for bouldering. It's hard to not use too much while sport climbing. If you walk the walk and have a sock for your chalk, it will help cut down on making it snow on your belayer. Happy sending! Gunpowder fo' life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very fine and helps grip immensely but you will go through it quickly. Also, very worth the price; this quality and amount of chalk is way more expensive when it comes to other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super nice, ultra-fine chalk. It tends to get used up pretty quickly so I like to mix in some cheaper chunky chalk like BD white gold or super chalk for the perfect ratio. Its very similar to friction labs' unicorn dust but much cheaper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice chalk for the price! Very soft and fine, works really well for bouldering. Not sure if I would want to use it outside cause almost gets muddy with a LOT of sweat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chalk is good - very fine powder, but after buying I discovered I much prefer chunky chalk. Great option for anyone who prefers powdery chalk though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My personal favorite after trying all the brands( BD, FLabs, Mammut, Camp, Meto) including liquid. Pros: Extremely long-lasting, I'm clammy and it holds the longest of any of the above brands Takes very little time to apply and work well (no chalk bag shaking nonsense on a pumpy runout) Great price, packaging, and for the skin (no drying agents/alc) Cons: Very fine. Like baby powder, you won't know if you like it until you try. Cake-y. I don't recommend using this with plunge pocket hangboards. Easy to overdo it. Switching to this from regular chalk can cause dry fires from overchalking. That's hard to remember when you just want to plunge your hand in there and keep climbing. Worth a try.

It’s by far the best combination of reasonable price and stellar performance you can find anywhere. It’s finely ground, fluffy, ultra absorbant, and surprisingly gentle. Truly a superior chalk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best chalk out there. People are always reaching into my bucket instead of using their own..... It's super soft, isn't harsh on your hands and it stays on longer than other chalks. Friction labs wants you to buy chalk gel and apply that first for their chalk to stick. This is also extremely reasonably priced. Buy it in bulk because it's always sold out.

Coming in a canister, you don't get the lumps of chalk you have break apart all the time. It pours out nicely into chalk bags and it lasts quite a was hile. It's a definite go-to item for chalk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been my go-to chalk for years. Super soft and fine, coats the hands great. Doesn't overdry and crack my skin as badly as other chalks with heavy drying agents did. If you like some chunks in your chalk this isn't for you, but if you like fine ground powder, this is some of the best price to performance chalk I've found. My friends all steal chalk from my bucket because it's so soft feeling. Friction labs stays on my hands a little better, but this is also a third the cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Gunpowder for a few years now, with a couple stints of using samples from other brands that I got at comps. I always end up gravitating back to this though for 3 reasons. 1) Price. Plain and simple, it's a great value as far as chalk in general goes. 2) Quality. It covers well and lasts just as long as any of the other brands that I've used. 3) Feel. I prefer a fine powder chalk. This works well in a chalk sock or loose. It also doesn't dry out my hands to the point of cracking as some other brands have done with me. Overall, my favorite chalk hands down! (pun intended?)
