Everything You Want In A Traveling Saltwater Rod.

I needed a rod to fish the ocean from central Ohio. Small enough to pack in an airline overhead compartment, medium action, 7 ft long, rated for 10-50 lbs line and 3/4-6oz lures. Only caught 5 grunts on first outing but worked like my freshwater Ugly Styks.

Love The Sensitivity & Long Butt Front & Back Grips. Makes Pulling In A Large Fish Easier. Paired It With My Lews Spinner Reel. Sweet Set Up.

Bought a month ago. Paired it with my new Lew's spinner reel. Sweet setup. Makes pulling in a big fish much easier on the wrists.

This Is It!

I've got several ugly stiks and this rod is also really nice. First of all, it's a fast action rod which means the top 1/3 bends and the rest offers really strong backbone. It's specially great for offshore/boat fishing for rockfish, ling, hamachi, yellowfin, halibut, and striper. Also I love the one piece stainless steel guide rings. No need to worry about cracked ceramic. One thing would be great is having a bottom (butt) cap like Ugly Stik jigging rod. But it's not an issue at all. Anyways, it feets good and sturdy. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.
