Great quality for uniform shorts. I measured our son’s waist according to your chart and selected size YSM. The adjustable waist left a bulk of fabric on either side that wasn’t able to be smoothed out. The inch difference between YXS and YSM was huge for my son who is slender. The shorts was great and last the entire school year.
