My 9 year old picked them out and wears them just about everyday. They are his go-to shoe of choice. From a parent perspective, the yellow part gets dirty pretty quick and the sole is already showing some signs of wear after a few months. It does what it needs to do for the everyday 9 year old kid; recess, out and about, etc. His sports have their own specific shoes (e.g. baseball cleats).
