Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Basketball Shoe Out These shoes fit incredibly. I thought the Curry 4 was an incredible step forward but these Curry 5’s are far superior. They fit like a glove and have amazing court responsiveness. For a low top, they are incredibly stable. I feel confident playing in these despite my very bad ankles. Curry has bad ankles as well so I’m sure they kept this in mind. Shoes also look incredible. I have been wearing these around casually everywhere. Even my girlfriend loves them. It’s nice how minimal they made the UA sign on these finally. Huge steps forward in both performance and fashion. Good job UA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than SC4, yes. I used a pair of SC4 low and really liked the performance. Light weight and grippy, made it easy to change directions at speed. Yes, it was a task to get them on and the toe box felt too snug. The SC5 is more challenging to get on, due to the raised tongue and ankle support. They feel more comfortable (especially in the toe box) and fit well all round. Looking forward to taking them out on the court and putting them through the paces. Recommend them whole heartedly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Curry 5 Sets the Mark I love the new Curry 5. I was able to get the Curry 5 Pi Day before they sold out. The fit and comfortability is amazing. The shoe provides support in all of the rights place. I would highly recommend the Curry 5!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash I bought these for my son for this years school basketball season. They did not last four weeks of practice. The season hasn't even started yet and the sole is separating in two places.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Update! Much easier to get into than the Curry 4. Requires a bit of a break in period, but I wore them 12 hours straight on day 1 and my feet felt great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Shoe After Breaking In This is the first basketball shoe I've worn that is a low top and it did exceed my expectations. After the first game, I was feeling that this might have to be switched out, but I am glad I stuck with them. They broke in great and I am happy with the purchase. As a preface to this review, I do wear ankle braces when I play, so I have had no issues with rubbing or cuts on my ankles and heels. Weight: Very light, feels like you are wearing almost nothing. But that can be a good thing. Definitely takes some getting used to if you are used to wearing high tops. 5/5 Fit: I am a huge fan of the bootie/sock construction for the upper and the way your heel locks in. The lacing system I think could have been shifted slightly, the eyelits that meet just above the change in material causes some change in fit between the toes and the top of your foot. I can get these over my bulky ankle braces with some very slight tweaking (and with these being lows easier than the Curry 4). 4/5 Material: The lower part of the upper is quite a difference from the sock feeling of the top part of the upper, so it might take some getting used to. The solid bottom does do a good job of keeping your heel and foot in place though, so you do feel more support than a lot of the shoes on the market today. The sole almost immediately crinkles and creases, which doesn't bother me since I am using these for sport, but casual wearers might be alarmed. 4/5 Traction: Solid. I play indoors and can stop on a dime and cut well, even when the floor hasn't been swept. 5/5 Cushion: The slightest of drops from the Curry 4, but still enough for me. Good on jump stops and other pounding movements. 4.5 Support: Slight drop from the Curry 4, but I am pleased that it has a lot more support than I was anticipating. Would attribute this to the materials of the upper and the heel support. 4/5 Overall, this isn't my favorite basketball shoe of all time, but it is much better than anticipated coming from always playing with a higher top shoe. Give them some time to break in and you will be golden. Bombs away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really disappointed, very bad quality, shoes broke in 5 days wearing. My friend got these Curry 5 RED, for me at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia back in June, and brought back to Vietnam for me. I started wearing them in July 10th for the first time, and has only been wearing them for 5 times now (practices + games). And I wore them to play on a very soft indoor court like in these pictures. I had doubts seeing a lot of negative reviews for the shoes but still cannot believe the quality is this bad. How could any pair of shoes break in 5 times wearing INDOOR? Please take another look at Curry’s 5 and fix it asap, there has been too many problems with the shoes already. And it is a waste of such a beautiful design. Disappointed .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best UA Curry yet, still room for improvement... There are a number of things I like about the Curry 5 as compared to the 4, one being the low top nature of the shoe, rather than releasing a low version down the road. I like the toe area being covered with a stiffer stronger material, my foot really doesn’t feel like it’s going to slide off the sole like it did at times in the 4. The traction is interesting - sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s not. I think it just depends on the floor. The break-in period for me was minimal. They felt great the moment I stepped on the court with them. I would like a little more cushioning and maybe for them to be a little lighter, but beyond those factors, I’m very happy with them, and have already purchased a second and third pair to keep in my reserve. UA, keep moving in the right direction with these! You have won me over from your competitors!
